Nous avons organisé le départ en retraite d’une collègue sur le Bassac.
Nous étions 17 personnes et nous en gardons un merveilleux souvenirs.
De notre arrivée jusqu’à notre départ, nous avons été chouchoutés.
Les cabines sont magnifiques et suffisantes pour y passé une nuit.
Les repas sont délicieux et les activités très sympa.
Ça été 2 superbes journées pour notre groupe, le fait d’être tous ensemble pour le déjeuné, activités, dîner et petit déjeuné tout en étant au calme grâce à la navigation tranquille du Bassac nous laissent de merveilleux souvenirs.
Le Bassac se prête aussi bien au couple, au famille qu’au groupe.
Un grand merci à toute l’équipe pour votre accueil et votre professionnalisme.

This is definitely recommended. This former rice barge has been transformed in to a lovely way to cruise. A lovely cabin with everything you could need. Food was amazing and plentiful along with the friendly and helpful staff. Visited a local village where you could either walk or cycle with a guide where you got to see how the locals live and work. The following morning was the floating markets and went ashore to a local market. Highly recommended

Beautiful boat. It was very relaxing to spend a couple of days on the boat and the cabin was bigger than we had expected (though still small of course). The food and drink were very high standard, and the trips out from the boat very well organised.

This was a wonderful trip. The itinerary really allows you to experience the locals life. The crew on board are brilliant. Professional, hard working, attentive and informative. The food was excellent. Yes the cabins are small but plenty of room really. Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience.

This is a must for your visit to Vietnam. The Bassac boats (we were on Bassac III) are beautifully built and very comfortable with good air conditioning in each cabin and a cosy, if somewhat compact, bedroom. The deck space is ample with plenty of room to walk around to get the best views of the river bank, activity and the beautiful sunset. The food can only be described as luxury with a 3 course lunch and dinner, as well as a typical Vietnam breakfast. The staff are very competent, friendly and professional and everything we did was well explained by the lovely Lucy. After lunch there is a short excursion (walking or cycling) into a local village where you get to see Mekong living and taste the local fruits. Next morning is a trip to see a traditional basket weaver in action and visit the Cai Rang floating market. Safety is also paramount to this organisation and you are provided with a brief on emergency actions and given life jackets anytime you are on the tender boat. All in all a highlight to our Vietnam tour and one we would definitely repeat again.

Amazing staff and food. Excursion on the first day was ok, spend much better. Did the one night tour.

absolutely amazing trip!! Treated like royalty as soon as you get on the boat with drinks and cold towels. The guide, Huey, was incredible- he knew about everything you would ask him and would always have a smile on his face. As a pescatarian, they were very accommodating to my food choices which is very appreciated and it was all lovely. We went on the most scenic bike ride- it was ethereal- and had some yummy native fruit in the middle of it. We also visited a floating market and a couple that made baskets which was so interesting to see. I absolutely recommend it to anyone thinking about it, it was once in a life time!

If you’ve got as far as reading this review, you’re considering an overnight Bassac tour! Just do it,
it was amazing! From the minute you board you are treated like VIP’s. The en -suite cabins are small but tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The food was exceptional, over and above what we expected. The presentation and quality of the food was outstanding.
All staff on board, without exception were friendly and efficient. We left the boat by tender to tour a local village and we’re given the option of a walking or cycling tour, followed by an opportunity to taste local produce before heading back to the boat in time for the sunset and an amazing dinner on deck. The next day, after a wonderful breakfast we visited the floating markets. We are so glad we included this trip in our itinerary. We loved every minute of it!

Just returned from a fantastic 2 day cruise onboard the Bassac. The trip exceeded expectations. The cabins are compact and well equipped, the food is excellent and the staff are, without exception, absolutely wonderful. The cycle round the village was a real highlight. We had an unforgettable trip.

Hi we are going in oct 2020 on the 8 night Lan Diep cruise. have been asked if we wanted upper cabin. Are there any past travellers who can say whether I should spend extra 600 per couple to do that Ta. Bronwyn.

We "missed" out on the upper cabins but discovered once on board there was not a lot if difference. We didn't spend a lot of time in the cabin and ours turned out to be closer to the restaurant and meeting places which suited us.
