Yes, we were back there this July.
As always the site is totally worth of your time, although as it was in Summer the Fall was not as strong as in winter.
Yes, best is to time your visit just after strong rain to see this remarkable Waterfall, and then the sight will be truly amazing.
I would again strongly recommend buying the Matmon Card of the Israel Nature Reserves and Park Authority to get free access to your and your family all year long to all the Nature Reserves and National Parks.
You'll get back your investment in 4 visits only and then you'll be able to come back as many times as you wish.
Israel is not a big country but we have many amazing places to visit that change during the year, and Banyas is one of them.

De bronnen van de Jordaan zijn hier ook prachtig, bijna net zo mooi als bij Tell Dan. Hier ook rijke historie. NIet alleen het heiligdom van de god Pan, ook is er een mooi verhaal van de apostel Petrus aan verbonden.

Took a hike down to the falls. Lots of wild flowers. Lots of school children on field trips. Take good foot wear.

come early in the morning before all the croud comes. use the yearly ticket u can buy so u can enter all the places in same card for one year. ticket costs abt 200 IS so if u visit 5 places natiral reservation u got yr investment back.
u can take the short wat 10 minutes to the water fall or the long one (abt 1 hour). the waterfall is great.

היום היה יום יפה ללא גשם. עשינו ברגל את סיבוב ההליכה מחניון המפל לכוון השביל התלוי וממנו לכוון המפל, ומשם עליה לחניון.

שמורת הבניאס, השמורה היפה בצפון בעלת המפלים היפים, העתיקות, הפינות החבויות והנופים היפים, עם מסלולים שונים, קצרים וארוכים.
במקום יש כמה מפלים ששווה לראות ולא לפספס.
-מומלץ מאוד!!

שמורת הבאנייס נחל החררמון מתחילה במקורות הנחל באתר נפרד עם מסלולי טיול רגלי ואפשרות ללכת ברגל עד המפל לא ממולץ בחודשי הקייץ לרדת למסלול המפל בקיץ מאוד נעים. החרמון הוא הכתר ממנו יוצאים חכמה בינה ודעת חצבני באנייס דן

המפל קטן יחסית אך הזרם עוצמתי ומרשים. המקום יפה והדרך אליו מקסימה ונעימה- מה שנקרא הגשר התלוי וההליכה ליד המים מהנים והמסלול יפיפה.

Yes it sure is....strong ALL year long (because of the snow melting on Mt. Hermon) AND then during the rainy season which is October-April. No swimming for obvious reasons.

Hi LesGUK,
You write that the Banias is "thought" to be one of the sources of the Jordan River. What does that mean "thought to be"? Don't the geologists and topographers scientifically know for sure whether it is or isn't a source of the Jordan River? From what I have read, it definitely IS a source of the Jordan River.
