3/16-3/21的美里之旅，很高兴通过Aby认识BDN潜店这个大家庭，每个人都非常Nice。
这里的潜店跟别的地方不同，常常会有些让人意想不到的海底生物可以在这里看到。水下生物很丰富，这次还看到有很特别，很大的墨鱼，还有两米多大的石斑。还有很特别的翠绿色，橘红色花边的海兔。潜店教练Jackson很不错，无论教学还是在带领大家潜水，都特别细心照顾大家，船夫Mavi是个很幽默的人，而且还会给大家买当地好吃的食物。Mandy 是个特别好的陆地导游，她介绍的景点真的不错。潜店的明老板是个非常好，幽默大方热心，感谢Borneo diving ,这是人生中一次很开心的旅程。

We were supposed to dive but due to the weather and due to the side effects of the recent Philippines’s typhoon, the ocean was not so friendly. But we totally understand that the weather condition was unavoidable, but we were really upset with how the BDN handled the situation.
The dive sites was 1-hour away from the Marina, with the current weather and ocean condition, BDN should’ve advised us that diving is not advisable at the moment so that we don’t have to go through the bumpy ride to the dive sites.
And when we arrived at the first dive site, we were told to put on our dive equipment and back rolled into the ocean. We were not been briefed on the safety procedures if we lost our buddy (because of the poor visibility which was less than 5m) and we were urged to quickly decent as the ocean was not friendly on the surface.
We were separated into 2 groups when we decent. One group of 4 including the DM and other group was just me and my other friend. We tried to find others but because of the bad visibility we hardly see anything so we just abort the dive and meet them on the surface.
Money is important, but our safety and life are more important. BDN should’ve advise us from the beginning so that we don’t have to go through the traumatic experience and even to go through the bumpy ride. Luckily we were safe and sound and nothing bad happened to any of us.
But next time please advise your client if it is not advisable to dive (before starting the boat ride, not after reaching the dive site) so that we are not wasting our time just to see the “undiveable” dive site.
It’s the most unpleasant diving experience for us but really hope that others will not experience the same plus the previous reviews for BDN were great. Please continue to serve great service to others.
And please advise others that diving season in Miri is not all the year round so that people will not disappoint.

Hi Aimi,
Sorry for the unpleasant experience. Based on previous experience October is still able to dive. The bad visibility and rough sea is affected by the Philippine's typhoon which is unpredictable. The flight ticket was booked since May thus nothing much we can do.
Anyhow we had try our best to arrange the land tour including called up the tour guide to stand by for you and your friends.
Our dive team are trained to be professional and they always brief on the lost buddy procedure as PADI suggested.
We are always strike for excellent. Thus we care about your feeling, do come again to explore the Miri beautiful untouched dive site and give us a chance to serve you again.

Dived yesterday at Nemo City, Sunday Reef, Anemone sites in 1 day including refresher since I last dived 4 years ago.
Everyone we talked to are friendly and helpful.
Sites are out of expectations, never thought miri is this good. For sure we would come back.

I did my PADI advanced open water (day 1 and 2) and three additional fun dives (day 3) with BDN. BDN was super responsive using multiple communication channels (Email, whatsapp) to make sure I received all the information.
The dive spots are very nice. The corals are very healthy and lots of fish, cuttle fish, octopus etc. to marvel at.
As monsoon season was starting the water were increasingly choppy but despite that the crew were very cheerful and tried their best to make the boat rides are as comfortable as possible.
The gear was well maintained and pretty much new.
I can fully recommend BND and will return. Maybe with a bit of luck see a whale shark next time.

We saw the Borneo Dive Network in MIDES in KL in May 17, where we started with 6 diver which eventually increased to 14 pax with 3 non-divers. Along the We have make so much changes about 6 amendment of the itinerary till we travel on 1 to 4 Sep 17 . The operator is very kind and accommodate our changes, thanks to Mandy and Aby whose very patient with us.
The corals in the Miri dive sites are very healthy due to it is still not very well known to the divers yet and visibility is about 10m average. Not much current that we encounter and there is a old oil rigs site that fill with jacks, groupers, sea snake, etc, therefore It suitable for open and advance divers.
The BDN is willing to listen to the feedback from the customers when we feedback we are not comfortable with one of the dive guide they change another one and ensure that we in safe hand.
Other than diving, they also provide good advice for the non divers on where to go and good dinning places. We have a great time in Miri which is a good short get away whether for diving or satycation.
Special thanks to Aby (Dive Manger), Mandy and Ben (Dive Guide) during the stay in the Miri.

Booked my trip with Borneo Dive Network.
Very responsive with accurate answers.
Aby the manager was fantastic... Answers not just diving questions, but also good local favorites and knowledge.
Ben my dive guide is also a nice friendly person.
The company also does land tours, something that Scuba Divers can do during no fly time... Visit Gua Niah! =P
It's really a nice place. Cheap tasty food, friendly people, stay at Kingwood hotel and you can assess to everywhere convenient.
The dive centre can assist with Hotel booking as well, added convenience.. =)
Use Grab instead of Uber for higher chance of getting a ride..
MUST COME HERE!! Before this place becomes crowded.. =P

Thank you Nicolas for your great review, we try to give guests not only good diving also local knowledge so they can explore Miri. As you say we are a tour company as well so we can make a package to include divers and non divers on the same trip !

I was recommended to dive in Miri by an experienced diver friend and he also recommended BDN to me. Had he not done this, I would not have known the existence of BDN as the other dive operator in Miri. Even the fact that Miri has got many dive sites to offer was not known to me.
And what a surprise I got! Apart from the fact that Miri's dive sites are amazingly beautiful and untouched, BDN itself provided such an impressive service at a much lesser cost than that if one were to dive in Thailand, Bali or Brunei. Everything was taken care of, from the moment they picked you up at your hotel to assemblying your dive equipment, and making sure your own wetsuit is dry for the following day's diving, I can't compliment them enough for their service. Even the dive arrangements via emails were promptly attended to by Daisy, the Operation Manager.
But I would not do much justice if I do not say something about Steve, the dive guide who accompanied my daughter and I throughout the 6 dives we did within the 2 days. I was having a very bad problem of equalising as a result of my cold, but Steve was patient enough to make sure that I am comfortable with my equalisation problem before making the descent.
I would surely recommend BDN as the dive operator of choice if one were to dive in Miri.

Had a great day diving on Sunday.
Beautiful dive sites, brand new equipment, and well qualified staff. They are also very quick to respond to questions which is great.
The lunch was delicious- and they provide for vegetarians which is a rare treat on Borneo!
I will definitely dive with them again.

Had a wonderful experience with Borneo Dive Network to get my open water training. Our coach is a cool lady who likes to make jokes and make the diving trip to be more interesting :) definitely will recommend others to take the course with Borneo Dive Network! Bravo guys :)

awesome experience with my wife and friend with great diving coach who very flexible with the timing and very patience in teaching all the diving skill while what we tend to do just the opposite. haha!
