We did a night dive and a private dive tour over two days. The crew and the dive master were fantastic! They are very easy going people who care about your safety and your enjoyment.

I recently completed my open water diver certification with La Buga and would recommend them without hesitation. From my intiial inquiry, they were communicative, responsive and accommodating. A a first time diver, I was nervous at first, but my instructor,Lenny, was patient, knowledgeable and supportive. Overall, I had a great experience with Lenny and La Buga. If you are looking for a professional shop, with very knowledgeable and kind people this is the place for you!

Great 2-tank dive trips with experienced divers with a couple of fun locations. Equipment was in great condition, and they did all the work! They carried the equipment to and from the boat, rinse and cleaned everything. They even set up the equipment for your inspection. Love that!
The water was perfect on Jan 20, 2025. No need for a wetsuit. Wish we could remember our dive masters name to give her a shout out.
La Buga is a perfect half-day fun to add to your itinerary.

Great organization! I was here for my Open Water. Eugenia (El) was an amazing instructor, I recommend her! Courses are frequently given at a 1:1 ratio. This is great and gives us time to learn well.
The boat and well organized for dives, the equipment is clean and good. There is a really nice atmosphere on site. Great location on the waterfront in Bocas town.

Great experience. Manuel was a top guy with great knowledge on the area and with diving in general. We had a great laugh with him and he gave us some fruit as a snack whilst waiting for dive 2. Definitely recommend.

Wow, the WORKERS ARE GREAT AND THE ENVIRONMENT IS BEAUTIFUL YOU FEEL SAFE AND THE DIVING IS AMAZING MY BROTHER WENT TO THE SURF CLASS AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO DIVE, SURF AND HAVE A GOOD TIME WITHOUT A DOUBT!

We had a fantastic week with the team at La Buga Dive Center! Best service, beautiful, interesting dive sites, super experienced diving instructors who tried to show us new discoveries every time. The team under Manuel and Ivan's leadership

The diving trip was amazing! We did the discovery dive and visited the most amazing shipwreck with so many fish and rays, covered in coral. The two staff members were so great at explaining everything and made us feel so safe for our first dive! We even got food at La Buga restaurant afterwards and it was so good we returned that evening! I would definitely recommend.

Hi! I'm looking at going there solo. As a woman, do you think I'd be ok? Also, could I fly in to Panama City and drive there? Or would that be too far? Thanks!

As far as the diving, I would say absolutely. I was in Boca Town one evening on my own and did not feel unsafe. Not sure how comfortable I would have been traveling to and from Bocas del Torro on my own.
We traveled down from Costa Rica so not sure about driving from Panama City. You might want to look into some of the tours that can arrange group transportation. Lots of young people took this route and there is some safety in numbers.

My husband and I are in our 50s but fairly adventurous and interested in booking a dive(s) with you. We're newly certified open water divers and La Buga Dive Center was recommended to us by Ocean First in Boulder Colorado, a popular dive shop in the mountain of Colorado :-) who trains divers and books international dive trips. They work with Kim at Reef and Rainforest who recommended La Buga Dive Center.
I've been wanting to come back to Bocas del Toro ever since I visited 10 years ago. What can you tell me about traveling there in March or April?
What is the weather like in March/April? Some say it's extra rainy and some say it doesn't matter because its rainy all year. Is it known to also be sunny?
We want to explore the area but likely stay in one place in Bocas del Toro. Can you give me any tips regarding where to stay? In Bocas town? Isla Carenero? Other?
Any information will be useful.

Excellent dive enter. Stay in Bocastown. We stayed at M&M and loved it. The studio ap is right on the water. We also stayed on Isla Caranero which has biting bugs of some sort. They spare no one so I wouldn't recommend staying there. Bike rentals are inexpensive.

Ayer escribí para reservar immersion de buceo para el 22 o 23.
Voy a Salir De da Puerto Viejo a las 8, calculo q en 4 o 5 hiras llego a Bocas.
Solo llegar a Bocas vengo a verles para confirmar la immersion.
