Not much to see, also the condition of exhibits is not up to mark.. need to climb few stairs on the top floor of the red fort

Located inside red fort and it's entry price is included in entry ticket for fort. Not much to see, also the condition of exhibits is not upto the mark. Needs upgradation and renovation. Still if you have ample time can visit.

Total waste of time and can be avoided. As nothing interesting is kept there. You just need to climb few stairs on the top floor of the fort just to see dirty exhibits. Cost of entry is included in the Fort ticket itself.

Went there recently and what a disappointment. The exhibits were housed on the upper floors of one of the buildings and absolutely nothing to see; NOT worth going.....

Located upstairs in one of the buildings in the Red Fort entry to this museum is included in the cost of a ticket to the fort it's self. Which is just as well as its pretty crummy.
Poor signage and no real story or context this is just a random collection of dusty stuff behind glass. Some uniforms and random stuff like field telephone switchboard fuses. Quite bizzare...... As a history buff I would have been attracted to this kind of museum and travelled some distance to visit it. Even though it was free and just meant climbing some stairs I felt I had wasted my time !

This memorial is a haphazard display of only some aspects of India`s military past.It is situated in the Red Forty area to the south & north if you approach from the east of the building in the Naubat khana on two floors.On entry you see the diorama of the 1st Battle of Panipat fought between Babur & Ibrahim Lodi in which war the former`s victory lead to the establishment of the Moghul empire in India in the 15th century.The weapons used then are displayed like swords,daggers,armoury support for the body`s safety,arrows,shields etc,
The last gallery displays the effect of European industrialisation on the weapon systems of the wars like guns,pistols,artillery.India`s particpation in the 1st & 2nd world war on behalf of the British forces are all displayed-some of the weapons,medals,badges,uniforms of Indians,New Zealand & Turkish soldiers.
There is nothing of much significance & the meagre haphazard items display here does not seem to have any coherent continuing story to narrate.Its high time the Govt sets up the much promised consolidated war memorial to the glory of Indian Military history in one place.

This Indian War Memorial Museum is located inside Red Fort and is one of the three museums. This one is located on 1st and 2nd floors of Naqqarkhana or drum house of the Fort and is entered through two openings on the eastern side of it. This museum commemorates participation of Indian soldiers in World Wars on behalf of the British forces.
On display are representation of the first battle of Panipat between forces of Babur and Ibrahim Lodhi, display of weapons including arrows, guns, pistols and revolvers and advances of industrialisation in Europe affecting weaponry and communication systems. One can rush through this and get some idea of things as it were then.
In case of shortage of time, can be avoided.

This is housed in the Naqqar Khana building in the middle of the Red Fort. It's covered on your entrance ticket to the fort and there is a short introduction to the museum on the audio guide for the Fort.
It's little more than a collection of random items, that are poorly (if at all) labelled, rarely with a date and 99% without any context whatsoever.
It's worth walking through as it's free, but don't expect to understand what or why.

Good place to come and take photos of Indian military uniforms and observe local officials arriving in their version of our limo cars. Lots of hagglers trying to sell you some souvenirs. Also a popular place for weddings to take a photo and you might be ask to participate in photo shoot

No es el tipo de atracción que me distraiga. Lo considero un poco aburrido. Es repetitivo. Todos los salones son exposición de armas antiguas y cosas relacionadas con armamentos de épocas de la independencia. Imagino que tiene interés para los aficionados a este tipo de objetos. No me llama la atención por lo cual no lo recomiendo para el que no sea interesado en armas.
