A remarkable tour. The tour was arranged by the tour partner by providing nice hotels at Tumling, Sandakfu & Lepchajagat. Pemba was assisted us as guide. He is very nice in behaviour, gentle in nature and well conversant to the tour. I recommend for choosing Asmita Trek & Tours as tour partner.

Ashmita Trek & Tours heeft ons een prachtige, op maat gemaakte trekking laten ervaren. Mijn partner had een blessure maar toch hebben de eigenaar Subash en de gids Rupesh ervoor gezorgd dat we gezamenlijk de trekking konden volbrengen. Rupesh is een uitstekende gids die de route kent en ons een prachtige week bezorgde.

We were taking two tours with Dawa Lama. Dawa was great, easy to communicate, very knowledgeable, flexible and helpful. We really enjoyed trekking with Ashmita, and can highly recommend the company with their VERY caring attitude.

We completed the 11 day Goechela trek on 20.11.23. Ashmita Treks & Tours were fantastic from start to finish. The owner Subash was always available to speak to us in the months preceding our adventure - ready to answer all questions and to give us a clear idea of what we should expect from our trip. We had a fantastic team on the trek itself, led by our guide Sangay. He is an experienced mountaineer able to plan our days with great skill, finding the most beautiful spots to pitch our tent at each of our stops, providing clear advice about how to manage and minimise the effects of the high altitude. Our cook DB created three absolutely delicious and varied meals every day - difficult to imagine how he managed to rustle them up from the bags of raw ingredients that accompanied us up the mountain! The whole team was friendly and a joy to spend time with and we missed them all when our adventure finally came to an end. It is altogether a wonderful trip - the hard trekking is rewarded by stunning views of the mountains over many days. We were lucky to have beautiful clear blue skies each day. Most importantly, we made it to the top!

The 6 day trekking route via Sandakphu was truly an amazing once in a life time experience for my son and I. We had an absolutely phenomenal time with clear views of the most majestic mountains in the world from Sandakphu and Phalut and achieved more than we thought was physically possible of ourselves thanks to the motivation and patience of Sangay, our guide.
Sangay was not only very helpful with his trekking guidance but is a kind and knowledgeable person and made us feel at home in his culture and taught us about the local plants/animals/language/customs and more. Thanks to him we have left the trek with not only views we will never forget and an increased cultural understanding of the area but hopefully a friendship as well.
We cannot recommend Ashmita trek and tours and in particular Sangay enough, book an experience with them you will not regret it!
Sangay was not only very helpful with his trekking guidance but is a kind and knowledgeable person and made us feel at home in his culture and taught us about the local plants/animals/language/customs and more. Thanks to him we have left the trek with not only views we will never forget and an increased cultural understanding of the area but hopefully a friendship as well.

I did both the 2 day Tonglu -Tumbling trek and the 6 day Singalila trek with Ashmita Treks and Tours. I highly recommend the company for its professionalism. My guide Pemba was outstanding as was my porter Apun. The views of four of the five highest mountains in the world was spectacular.

Nice views. Trail was often busted up and or water damaged. Guide Pemba exceptional.
Ashmita insist on deposit before they will organise treks. Our 1st bank transfer got 'lost', $400 Australian. Not happy. The 2nd bank transfer successful. Australian bank investigation said payment details were clear and unambiguous. They recommended I take the matter up with the beneficiary which I did about 4 times. I didn't get the $400 back. Ashmita are keen for Australians to trek there as opposed to eastern Indian Himalayas. Ashmita are a bit harsh insisting on international bank transfers to India. The guide seemed to organize everything after picking us up at our hotel.
Didn't do a 2nd trek with this company.
Will be going back to Nepal next year as
deposits are not demanded there.
It was a nice visit to Darjeeling.

Before even beginning my day hike, I was impressed with this company as I met personally with Subash Tamang the director of Ashmita Trek & Tours and he arranged a special pricing for my hike as I was solo. My guide, his name is Sangay Bhutia was exceptional. (see photo) He had a wonderful personality spoke good English, but what made my experience with him so positive was the "information" I learned on the hike; be it the mountains, the flowers, various berries, a couple of unique "beverages" (which we actually tried) and how he went out of his way after the hike to take me to a Tibetan Monastery. (He of Tibetan origin shed interesting light on the temple). The hike itself was Dhotrey to Chiterey (not Tumbling) 17kms and for the most part I loved it. The first part 8km straight up to Tongla through lovely forest with views of high green mountains. However, the second half mostly downhill spent more time than would have wanted on the paved road - there were two "Security Checks" at this point. The road for me to away from the mountain experience. I would like to work with this company again very much, but I believe next time will do a multi-day trek.

We did the Jeep tour 2 nights and 3 days to sandakphu. We were lucky, we had great sunrise views of the mountains at Tonglu and sandakphu. The scenery along the way was beautiful. Our guide Dawa Lama looked after us so well, counselling us about altitude sickness, which we didn’t get. We visited Chitrey on the way. The roads were rough for the last leg of the journey (road gangs are working on them, so they will improve) and our driver Sandeep drove skilfully and safely. We loved our Sandakphu trip.

For my short stay in Darjeeling, guide Tenzing and driver Dipu were great hosts for 1) a half day visit to see the sunrise on Tiger Hill and a walk through some nearby villages, 2) a day long hike to Tonglu and Tumling. Dipu was prompt and himself a great guide. Tenzing told me about the local flora. I was lucky enough to see the amazing Kanchenjunga. The great fun was breakfasting in India and then lunching in Nepal. The Tonglu/Tumling hike was fantastic. Few people. Peaceful. Beautiful. It was everything I was looking for in my quick trip. I would highly recommend Ashmita and Tenzing and Dipu. Deep thanks for a wonderful first trip to Darjeeling. I hope to make it back!

We did a wonderful trek with Ashmita tours - a three night four day trip in Singalila National Park. Beautiful morning views of the Himalayas and few crowds when we went in October. Enjoy!

we are planning to visit Darjeeling and Sikkim in the month of October. We have only 5 days and we are thinking to spend 2 days in Daarjeeling and 3 days in Sikkim. We don't want trekking kind of activities, instead of that we want sightseeing trips. Tell me your suggestions

My suggestion would be to skip Darjeeling and spend all 5 days in Sikkim. Sikkim has everything Darjeeling has and more. Darjeeling, once the queen of hill stations has become dilapidated.
