‪This is a super tour. Very imaginatively constructed and the guide is so thoughtful and easy to be with. When we ran into some hitched due to heavy rain, he quickly reframed the tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed.‬

‪An amazing tour, probably the highlight of our time in Kolkata‬

‪An extremely informative tour through Kolkata. It is a wonder through various areas of Kolkata, where you get to see how people live and work in the amazing city. The opportunity to take different forms of transport was also great as these are not things we would have done otherwise. Soham is an excellent guide - very informative and knowledgeable about Kolkata and Indian history more generally.‬

‪It was amazing! Rather than just being a food tour, this is a brilliant evening walking through areas of Kolkata we would not have otherwise visited. All the dishes were excellent - I am still thinking of the mutton scotch egg and wish I could have it again!

Soham is an excellent guide, who is very knowledgeable and entertained us with his stories of the city and the different dishes we were eating. He also ensured we were able to get a taxi back to our hotel when we were struggling in the rain - thank you again Soham!‬

‪Really enjoyed this. It was so much more than a food tour. Soham was knowledgeable, thoughtful and interesting about this area of Kolkata where he grew up, and about Indian history and culture in general. At the same time as chatting and being shown the back streets in a way I would have been unable to do without a guide, I got to sample a full range of well selected and delicious street foods. I felt fully confident in his judgement and local knowledge regarding cleanliness and hygiene. Soham was careful to look after me as a guest for the time I was with him, and super helpful beforehand helping me get there by taxi. A really excellent way to begin my visit to Kolkata. I would highly recommend it to anyone as a chance to sample street food in relaxed and rewarding company on a very well planned tour.‬

‪Explore Calcutta with the Best Guide Around!‬

‪The Magic Hour Tour was the second tour I took with Soham, and the 5:30 meet time was BEYOND worth it. (I also did the Alleyway Food Tour, which I would also recomend to any and all visitors to the city!). This tour was a lovely complement to the other, as we got to explore a different side of the city and explore many of its different modes of transport. My favorite part of the tour was Soham's storytelling. He is such an engaging guide, and you learn so much about the city, its culture and its history! Get around him, these tours are some of the best I've ever been on.‬

‪Amazing Food Walk!‬

‪This food walk was a magical way to get to know Calcutta (specifically the northern part of the city). It was my first time visiting the city, and I had limited time to try all of the wonderful food the city is known for, so this tour was perfect. Soham is unbelievably friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. He takes you to delicious hole in the wall places you wouldn't know to try on your own, and directs you towards the best dishes they have to offer. HIGHLY recommend!‬

‪Soham's Alleyway Food Tour a Kolkata Must...‬

‪Soham shared personal stories from his alleyway neighbourhood, a history of Kolkata, and a wide variety of tasty foods & sweets from the best vendors in Kolkata. It was a pleasure to spend four hours on this amazing tour of an area... and food from outlets... that you wouldn't try alone. Hygiene and quality of food were a priority.
Soham gave such an insight to the food culture in this easy paced walking tour. A recommended tour for anyone wanting to see the real Kolkata.‬

‪I thoroughly enjoy this tour as I got to maneuver through the streets of Kolkata like a local. My favourite parts were jumping on local modes of transportation. Highly recommend!‬

‪In Dialogue with Calcutta‬

‪I participated in the tour with a group of seven participants from Japan, and it was definitely the best part of our stay in Calcutta. I was initially worried about language support, but Soham had both printed translations+an auto-updated online guide in Japanese which made sure that all of us could full along easily. What I really admired about this tour was how it was interwoven with personal anecdotes. While delivering historical facts with accuracy, it also beautifully brought out Soham's relationship with the city. I think this tour will give anybody who participates a chance to not only to know Calcutta better, but to dwell on their own relationships with the spaces and communities they inhabit. Thank you so much for a brilliant experience!! I hope I get to participate in the Food Tour someday soon too :)‬
