Excellent choice and pleasant reprieve after Sights and Sounds of Kolkata. The campus and museum was closed but that deficiency was made up by the excellent guide Mr T Mukerjee. He was informative and sensitive to the nature of his guests. He played and translated the most beautiful music and lyrics written by Tagore throughout the 8 hour drive to and from Kolkata. It was the highlight of the tour.

The campus was closed, so was the museum. Our views were through the iron fences. However our guide Mukerjee was great and made up for these deficiencies. He was well informed and entertained us with beautiful music of Tagore during the eight hours to and from Shantiniketan. The music and the translation of songs were the highlight of the trip.

I went to Shantiniketan on a day trip with Kolkata Trips on 18 September 2023.I was a solo traveller and was a bit apprehensive about such a long car journey on the same day. But Mr Tirthankar Mukherjee was very reassuring. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip as well as the journey. My trip guide entertained me throughout the journey both to and from with wonderful music and videos which of course, was Rabindra Sangeet!
In addition, Mr Mukherjee was extremely kind and hospitable and treated me to both breakfast and lunch, for which I am so grateful.

Our family (2 adults, their teenage children, + grandparents) cannot stop raving about our Kolkata Trips tour last week. We had a half-day free, and most of us were familiar with the city, so Mr. Mukherjee prepared a very custom tour for us. My senior parents have a bit of limited mobility so it was very convenient that we were picked up right at our guesthouse in an extremely comfortable van. Even though my parents were born and brought up in Kolkata, Mr. Krish, our extremely knowledgeable historian/guide, provided details that were brand new to them. Mr. Krish did an excellent job of narrating the story of Kolkata, including its global context. Our tour featured Flower Market, Howrah bridge, Jain temple, Kumortuli, and College Street.

Our recent Kolkata City Tour with Kolkata Trips exceeded expectation, thanks to to the exceptional service of Mr. Mukherjee. The team of Kolkata Trips showcased professionalism and promptness from start to finish, ensuring a smooth experience. We have started with the Flower Market in the morning and concluded with a cup of Coffee in the famous Coffee House in College Street Book Market.

We have an excellent experience with Kolkata Trips. We booked the one day City Tour in Kolkata and visited most important attractions like Dakshineswar Kali Temple, Tagore House, Princep Ghat with Mr. Mukherjee. We want to thank him for an wonderful experience.

We thought Kolkata Trips went above and beyond with our day tour last week!
Besides giving us a great tour of some of the normal sights in Kolkata such as the Mother House, Parasnath Jain Temple, Indian Coffee House and the Botanical Gardens, they arranged access for us to the campus of the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology so my husband could visit where he lived with his family during the 1960s. A great tour!

I strongly recommend Kolkata trips whenever you plan to visit this city. Shri.Mukherjee is very caring and honest. Just to mention, one of my interactions with him. I wanted to buy Ma Durga's typical bengali idol, he took me to Kumartuli where all the beautiful idols of .Ma Durga are made. I got a very beautiful idol.
Next time when I visit Kolkata, I will contact Kolkata trips only.

What is the best option to travel to Haldia (from Kolkata) watch the sunset and return ? And which location in Haldia is ideal for a view of the setting sun? Hello,
Me and my wife are landing on the 23rd at 7:30am.
We have a connecting flight at 4:10pm so I think we have to be back at the airport by 1pm.
Can you arrange a tour for me and my wife starting from the airport at 8am and back at the airport by 1pm?
How much will the total cost be?
NOTE: we speak Bengali so there is no special need or requirements. Just a simple tour to do some shopping and spend the transit time

i can see that u have only 3 hrs in hand u will find some guesthouses outside the airport / u can use airport lounge for shopping u will not get much time so shop inside airport duty free shop or u can visit city centre 2 near airport book ola / uber to city centre 2 around 10 mins by car

My husband and I will be in Kolkata for one full day only on 20th March. We have a list of places we would like to visit. Can a tour be organised to cover these places on this day? Our list is Kumartuli idol making district, The New Market, Mullik Ghat Flower market, Belur Math temple, and Dakshineswar temple. Our interest is more towards having a small view of life in Kolkata rather than to visit a list of monuments and temples. Is this tour possible and approximately what would it cost?

Yes, you can visit some of the major attractions of Kolkata in a day. Please contact any of the Kolkata tour companies and they will set the itinerary. You can visit the following in a day:
Belur math, pareshnath temple, Tagore house, St. Paul's cathedral, St. John's church, Victoria memorial, princep ghat, a drive along governor's house, high court, race course and others, then mothers house and finish at Kalighat.
