‪The museum was very good, it has lots of information about the history of melaka. The only negative thing is that most of the museum is a series of painting with information about the history of melaka, there are not many actual artefacts to look at. ‬

‪Good museum‬

‪Good assortment of artifacts from the Sultanate, Colonial up to Japanese Occupation. The place is under minor renovation when we went but still plenty to see.

‪Red Square Touristen Magnet in Melaka‬

‪Ein Touristen Magnet ist der Red Square, auch Dutch Square genannt, im historischen Zentrum von Melaka. Niederländische Kolonialherren haben hier um das Jahr 1660 Backsteinhäuser und eine Windmühle für ihre Kolonialverwaltung bauen lassen. Alle Gebäude, mit Ausnahme der weißen Windmühle, sind in tiefroter Farbe gestrichen. Scharren von Touristen lassen sich vor dem Schild „I love Melaka“ ablichten und werden anschließend von Fahrradrikschas zu Sehenswürdigkeiten und den zahlreichen Museen in der Nähe des Red Square gefahren. ‬

‪The museum is situated in the Stadthuys. The details of the visit and pictures are uploaded in the review of Stadthuys. The museum is a worth visit and it has a great collection of Malaysian history and the previous rulers.‬

‪意外と面白い博物館‬

‪洗練されているわけではありませんが、中々に見応えがあり、ローカル感が楽しめました。
歴史もよくわかり面白かったです。
中は、撮影okです。そして、かなり広いです。‬

‪了解馬六甲歷史的好地方‬

‪一個遊覽和了解馬六甲歷史的好地方。博物館有信息，照片，文件，複製品，等。後面有一閒鄭和歷史廊。似乎沒有人去參觀。那里大多數都是政府/中國的宣傳材料。總體而言，既然來到荷蘭廣場，就進去看看，教育自己。‬

‪This was a great museum in a city full of them, all close together. Has beautiful paintings of all famous scenes from Melaka history, they should have a shrine for the painters as they were great. The various models of Melaka after different occupations were really well done and interesting, not the tired old worn out models you usually see. Worth several hours having a look.‬

‪If you're already in Melaka, this is a must do‬

‪Start your day here. I really wouldn't make a special trip to Melaka just to see this museum but if you're already here, this museum is worth your time. 10:30am and 2:30pm free English tours. Gives you history of Melaka from the founding through the various colonizers. You get access to a lot of other museums with your ticket so you could spend half a day seeing everything. ‬
