Children’s Day visit- was totally packed, but luckily had bought tickets online so could skipped the lining (at least 1 hour they said).
You can see sharks, eels, rays, tropical fishes and educational environment for children. They have even some learning points to the young once about plastic in an ocean.
Only minus was the lack of elevators and ramps for the baby cart. Had to carry them up and down from the stairs. (good sports activity).
It’s a bit far away compared to Shanghai ocean aquarium by pearl tower in Pudong. However they are building a metro station next to the place ( ready 2020)

The aquarium is quite small, even at a slow pace I reached the exit after about 45 min. For 180 yuan, nowhere near worth it.
Better off just having a leisurly walk around the park and ignore the aquarium entirely.
Also, the whale show has been cancelled, so don't come for that.

Well run aquarium that caters well with English speaking visitors. Information on sea animals provided in both English and Mandarin. Experience starts with 4D film (this is however in Mandarin). We went in Chinese New Year holiday and the place was not too busy. Exhibits well presented and well set out.

We had a great time! We have 5 kids ages 2-9 and they loved all the paths to explore. It was very peaceful and pretty and we seemed to be the only tourists there. It seems like it’s probably far more lively in the summer, but there were still boats and a small amusement park. We did the aquarium as well, it was cute, nothing incredible...but the kids enjoyed it.

帶著孩子逛完了迪士尼，第二天臨時起意來到了這里。上网一查票價，發覺如果提前一天預定，价格會便宜不少。
館不大，主要是熱帶淡水魚，海洋魚類不多。不過孩子倒看得很認真。
下午一點半，三點半還有一場在另一場館的白鯨表演包含在門票之中，可以選擇上午看完后到對面的大悅城午饭后再步行(約十五分钟)或電瓶車（每人5元）前往。

We really enjoyed Changfeng Park and Ocean World. We went on a Saturday in August. Best to arrive early in the day to beat some of the crowds. It was crowded but nothing like the overcrowded city center of Shanghai and crowds got worse as the day went on. We purchased the General Admission ticket that got us into Ocean World, Living Art Aquarium and the Beluga show for 180RMB. Very reasonable price for a full day of entertainment. Easy to navigate as most things are listed in both Chinese and English.
Be sure to try the electric boats on the lake. Again very reasonable pricing and a great way to see the beauty of the park without walking a long way. Try the strawberry ice cream from the outside snack bar. Delicious.

It's a solid aquarium we had no issues getting tickets or having to wait forever it wasn't very crowed kids and grandparents but as a teacher me and marine biologist her that didn't bother us

The Baluga arena is run down and stark. They were worth seeing but my kids really didn't enjoy it. The park is amazingly large with many exploring options. There were any old people hanging around singing and enjoying the day. The amusement park for the kids is a bit pricey and dodgy (20 rmb each for a bounce house!) The aquarium was a surprise success and my kids age 5 and 6 loved it. Over all we spent 270 rmb and I say it was worth it. We went on a Tuesday and the crowds were very manageable. I would not go to the aquarium on a busy day as it is mostly underground. I will definitely come back with the scooters and explore more of the park and possibly partake in a boat ride.

Плюс этого океанариума в том, что он находится на территории большого парка и он менее рассчитан на туристов, т.к. не находится в центре, как океанариум у Жемчужины в Пудуне. Также там можно сходить на представление. Спокойная обстановка без лишнего ажиотажа, толкотни и галдежа. Можно сначала погулять по парку, покататься на лодке, а потом пойти в океанариум, или наоборот.

We arrived at 10.30am on a cloudy Thursday at the end of August, the park was moderately busy with toddlers and grandparents mainly. We has entered the park at Gate 2 and the aquarium is approximately 5 minute stroll. As we had already wandered around the park we had spotted the Beluga theatre was located at the other side of the park (by the children's amusement area) ie totally separate location to the aquarium. On arrival at the aquarium there was no queue and prices are displayed in English, there is a couple of ticket options (to combine with other attractions), however we went for the basic aquarium and beluga show at 180rmb adult and 120rmb for kids. We had a very pleasant stroll around the many tanks and exhibits which we felt were clean, well maintained and the way tanks were displayed was interesting. There are dual language info displays at each tank and we had plenty of time and space to peruse at our leisure. Our 10 yr olds favourite parts were the overhead tunnel tank, sea horses and penguins. We didn't go to see the beluga show as, whilst it is on 3 times a day, to see the next show was too long for us to wait but that was our choice. Overall I think we were lucky on our timings so we didn't encounter any crowds/queuing, it isn't the cheapest outing but most days out in Shanghai are pricey, If you like aquariums this is worth a visit.
