We go dive every day for 2- or 3-tank excursions to a variety of our “local” dive sites, but with a minimum of 3 divers, we also do trips to the “Catalina’s” Islands if you are at least advanced certified. The cost for a local 2-tank excursion with guide, full set of rental gear , refreshments and snacks is 105$. There is an extra cost of 30$ for trips to the Catalinas and 30$ for a 3rd dive. We have packages with 10$ discount per day starting at 3 days of diving or more! We rent rooms on AirBnB for around 40$, either in a private villa with pool in Playa Ocotal (about 5km from the dive center) or in our newly equipped apartment just above the dive center in the center of town. Hi Robert and happy New Year! When do you plan to be here? We dive the Cats all year round with a minimum of 3 divers, so we’d need to coordinate to find another diver! Also, during the months of December through to May the conditions have to be expected quite challenging with strong winds, waves, surge and currents! But also for the ocasional greater depths we require to be at least Advanced certified and about 30 logged dives. However, we regularly take divers there with less qualification but as part of an Advanced course to be well prepared and under the direct and personal supervision of a diving instructor. For this you’d have to either commit for a complete PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course or at least for 2 (or 3) instructor guided Adventure dives (Deep-, Drift-Dive (ev. plus a third dive of your choice). The cost of the full course (2 days/5 dives) including a trip to the Cats for 380$ each or a regular trip for 2 (3) Adventure dives for 165$ (195$). Hi! Thanks for asking, at the moment visibility is from 5 to 10m / 15 to 30ft and temperature from 25 to 30C / 75 to 85F with possible thermoclines in deeper areas. Visibility and temperature is not really a criteria for dives on the pacific coast, even if those can be better during other times of the year, but there is always a lot of marine life to discover ;-)

Hi Martin! Yes we can do pickups at the RIU Guanacaste for a 50$ roundtrip charge (it’s about 30min South from our location in Playas del Coco by boat or by car). This daily charge is divided by the number of participants to be picked up. Different circumstances will decide if the pickup is by boat or car! Looking forward to hopefully take you dive very soon! Le prix de 150$ inclue une introduction orale sur la théorie de la plonge suivi par une pratique dans la piscine. Cette partie se fait idéalement un après-midi (env.2h de temps) avant la sortie de plongée de deux immersions matinales entre 8:00h et midi.
