Want to let the people in charge know that the staff at ScubaCaribe is top notch. Camillo was very informative with all of the services your company provides for the guests at the Guanacaste Riu. He gave us an awesome price on the Catamaran Sunset tour. We liked it so much that we later purchased the water taxi to Coco Beach, and also chartered a half day fishing trip through you as well.
The Catamaran trip included snorkeling. Under water, we saw sea turtles, schools of colorful fish, and manta rays. Our guide, "Rhasta" was very informative and helpful in many ways. He took photos of us in caves that are only accessible during low tide, and was a wealth of information about the area and its many attractions. They provided all the necessary equipment, fruit, and water bottles. The Captain's name was Orlando and he did a great job as well.
Rhasta was with us again for the water taxi to Coco Beach and it was interesting to have him inform us of all the celebrities that have homes in the Papagayo Gulf, as we passed them on the way to Coco Beach. The Captain even took us into some caves so we could see all the crabs scurrying away as we pulled close. These extra things are not necessary to get you from point A to point B, but they sure were appreciated.
As for the deep sea fishing, we had 4 people, plus the Captain ("Macho"), and his first mate. To be honest, we did not catch huge fish. We opted for a less expensive trip (less than $250 for all four of us) with bottom fishing instead of trolling, but that said, every person caught more than one fish. And the crew was very helpful with tips and techniques to make sure we did not go back empty handed. We ended up keeping 4 of the dozen fish caught and took them back to the hotel for the chef to cook them up for us. All the equipment and bait were provided, and we had a great morning with these guys.

We had spoken to a rep on our resort and he was super friendly. Set up the time to go to Coco Beach and when to be picked up. $20 round trip per person, which we thought was great. We were told we didn't have to stick to our pick up time if we wanted to stay later or leave earlier but that the last taxi left at 430. The ride there was great; drivers were informative and got there in great time. On the way home, however, we waited for the boat and when it pulled up, a swarm of people attempted to get on that pick up time. Which was our scheduled time. They did not check receipts to see who actually booked that time and everyone was shoving to get on. It's an 8 person limit, by the way. Needless to say, we didn't get on but were told another boat was coming in 5 mins. One hour later, one came. Again, another fight to get on. Our group was the only group whom they asked a receipt to prove the pick up time. They also added more than the 8 person capacity. So the trip started out strong and ended very poorly.

Coco Water Taxi, was very good. But wouldn't go to coco beach again. Hasselled by locals to go on tours of their newer hotels.Try to trick you and make you believe they will get you back to our resort,with a fake lottery type ticket. Saying he would get $100.00 only if we went back with him.Not enough time to do a hotel tour.Hard to get rid of him.

My friends and I wanted to go to town,do a little shopping and this was recommended from our hotel. It's a $30 pp rpundtrip and about 25 mins ride. We wore shorts which was a good thing because you have to get in the boat from the water. I would recommend wearing your swim clothes inside just in case you want to swim after while waiting for the boat back. Ride was smooth and saw a lot of fish flying up and a seagal trying to catch them. Very entertaining.

Was a bit apprehensive as it's a small boat and I don't swim well! For $20 however it is a great experience for a 15 min zip along the ocean. The guys were great and looked after us all, making sure we got on and off ok. You have to go in the sea to board but only calf height. They stopped the boat a couple of times so we could take photos and pointed out birds to us. Bang on time so no hanging about in the heat. I did cut my foot on the rough bottom of the boat but that was my own stupid fault so just be careful. My kids sat in the front and got a bit of a shower but loved it.

We tried to do a quick trip of the beaches but it rained on that parade! The service to arrange the trip and communication was impressive. Even though we were not able to go, from the reviews I have read and the service I received at the start, makes me bookmark this company as a must do on our next trip.

Taking the water taxi was really convenient and fun. Even though you need to enter the boat from the beach, they take your shoes and put them in a crate and then help you get into the back of the boat. I didn't find this too difficult even with the boat moving around in the waves. Note, depending on the waves and wind, you might get sea spray coming your way, but on a hot day it was welcomed. I highly recommend this if going to Playa del Coco.

A group of us booked Coco Water Taxi for a day to a local beach that was not easily assessable by vehicle.
Great day. They picked us up on the beach in town and picked us up at the desired time.

A nice gental ride from coco beach around to the beach where the Rui hotels are situated . Spotted a chap fishing for octopus on the way who swam up and showed us his catch.

We hired the Coco water taxi for a ride to & from the Blues Fest. It was great. Very good rates, good captain & a lot of fun.

Hi, we will be dropping off our rental car at Alamo early in the morning and then spending the day at Playas del Coco. We would like to take the water taxi back to Riu Guanacaste. There are 2 of us. Do we need to book this in advance? Thank you!

To go back to the RUI from Playa Del Cocco was 6PM when we were there. But you can travel back by land taxi if you want to stay later and eat at the Sunset.
Hello, Can you tell me if you provide service from CasaConde Beach Hotel to Tamarindo. How much would it cost? We will be looking to do this between Mar 26 to 29th.

A weeks stay in Playa del Coco is about right. There are many attractions there and within a 1 day drive that are some must see places. These include Arenal Volcano area and Monte Verde Cloud forest. You can rent a car at Liberia Airport if you want to do these trips on your own.
