‪Had a two day lesson with Edgar and my fiancé! He was on time and brought two great boards for the lesson! Such a good teacher and did a great job explaining the basics with tips of the surf spot. Couldn't recommend him enough if you want to make the most of your surf experience. You won't be disappointed!‬

‪This was an amazing experience. I worked with Edgar for about 6 days to improve my surfing skills. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the breaks in the area and the right times to hit them. I made great improvements in my surfing, thanks to him! If you’re looking for the best surf guide in the area, talk to Edgar. He’s the best! ‬

‪Best Surf Instructor in Tamarindo!‬

‪Edgar is an amazing Surf Instructor. On the first day he already got me standing up on the board taking a wave. He is very patient and calm, which is exactly what you need when you are learning to surf. I can’t recommend him highly enough. He’s also quiet at the right times and conversive at the right times! Great guy! I’ve been coming to Tamarindo for 30 years and I can’t recommend him highly enough‬

‪We recently had the pleasure of engaging Edgar as our surfing instructor during our family vacation in Costa Rica, and it was an exceptional experience. Edgar not only corrected previous mistakes made by other instructors, but he also had a personable approach that made our time with him enjoyable. He connected with our family, especially our two kids, and tailored his teaching to their individual needs. Edgar's extensive knowledge and expertise in surfing were evident as he provided clear instructions and valuable tips that significantly improved our techniques. His passion for the sport was contagious, creating a positive and energetic atmosphere throughout our lessons. We had so much fun with Edgar that we will definitely engage his services again the next time we're in Costa Rica. His professionalism, patience, and ability to create a memorable surfing experience make him a highly recommended instructor.‬

‪Surfing has always been on my bucket list. Being a little older than the average student, I was a bit nervous. Edgar made it fun and enjoyable. He was everything you would want in an instructor. From patient, attentive, experienced, knowledgeable and encouraging. I highly recommend Edgar!!‬

‪Surf Lesson with Edgar‬

‪My family had a fantastic surf lesson with Edgar while on holiday in Tamarindo! None of them had ever tried surfing before and it was a prefect mix of instruction on the beach before hitting the waves! Edgar definitely seemed the Best on the Beach!! Next time I’m going to try also!! Thanks for a great time.‬

‪Edgar is the man, I can’t sing his praises enough. He starts out slow and simple, explaining the reasoning behind wave breaks and different types of surf boards, but he also makes sure to cover everything you need to be safe while surfing. Once you get out there, he gives you all the instruction you need to start your surfing journey. I couldn’t believe how quickly he had me riding waves all the way to the shore. Best day I’ve had in a very long time. 10/10 experience.‬

‪Edgar is a great surf instructor. He is patient, knowledgeable and really goes the extra mile to make sure you know theory and understand surfing.
He knows the area so well and can find waves that match your level. Highly recommend!‬

‪Best instructor ever!!‬

‪I’ve surfed a few times before surfing with Edgar. But once I took a couple lessons from him my skills and technique improved tremendously. So much to think about when surfing and Edgar gives you so much perspective and understanding not only about surfing, but the energy of the waves, your breathing technique while surfing and how to read the waves and the etiquette of surfing as well. As a native from Costa Rica, Edgar is well versed in the surfing culture and the ocean. He’s patient, calm and intentional when instructing you out in the water. Bottom line is he will have you surfing in no time. Edgar and I will be surfing together every year.‬

‪Edgar is patient and knowledgeable! Native to Costa Rica he knows where and when to find each break and how to instruct a Coloradoan to surf. Highly recommend Edgar!
He also had the patience to work with my 11-year-old son to get him used to the waves and the board. You won’t be disappointed if you book a surf lesson with Edgar.‬
