This was my second time on the Sunday Fun Day bus trip and what a great way to meet other fun people from all over the world and to also see different parts of Costa Rica not very far from Tamarindo. The hosts were very attentive to ask if you were doing well and to answer any questions you may have on the tour. Highly recommend if your traveling SOLO or with friends like we did on this trip.

The whole Sunday funday was a blast. Definitely set the tone for our trip. The host were great and made sure to account for us after every stop. The whole atmosphere was a party and good vibes.

Non-stop party bus!!!!! We had the best time meeting new people from around the world, great music on the bus, dance party the entire time, enjoyed the pool and the beaches! The hosts we super friendly and FUN!!!! You gotta do it!!!!

Awesome time with a great group of people. I highly recommend this trip. The first spot they took us to had some amazing views,a pool to relax in a nice restaurant to grab a bite to eat and drink

I just went this past Sunday and it was a blast. Hannah and Jeffry were the hosts and they are amazing. They did a great job and deserve kudos for everything they do (truly above and beyond). I was one of the few solo travelers, but was still made to feel welcome and had a great time (even with Jeffry’s cannons making my arms look like squirt guns). I had done this during Covid, when Jeison and Maho did it. I enjoyed it then and enjoyed it now. I will definitely book this again on one of my future trips to Tamarindo.

If you’re in Tamarindo on a Sunday, this is a MUST DO. It’s an absolute blast. The beaches/bars you go to are absolutely gorgeous and the bus staff are super friendly and fun. We made a great group of friends and loved every minute. Both my partner and I said this was our favorite part of our week in Costa Rica. Incredible day for a GREAT price.

The tour was good, was probably the most fairly priced thing I did the whole week in Tamarindo. Hosts went completely out of their way to make sure all guest where having a great time throughout the day. I’m not sure if our experience was typical as it was the holiday weekend of NYE. That said the bonfire never happened it looks like it was supposed to happen at the beach bar we were at as it had a pit maybe the wind was blowing wrong way? We visited a total of 2 places and the bus ride back to Tamarindo was a lengthy 2hrs long in traffic. There was a 2 day concert directly outside of Tamarindo and there appears to be only one road in and out, all that said if locals are putting this event on logistically speaking this should have been accounted for factoring in a bus full of drunk people or not have been done this particular Sunday knowing the challenges. I won’t hold it to you on the rating given the price point, and the fact that it was a holiday weekend. Pura Vida!

A little context before starting the review. My boyfriend has done pub crawls in almost every country in Europe, in Brazil and in Australia. I am a 22 year-old university student. It goes without saying that we love to party.
Unfortunately, the Beach and Pool Crawl was not what it was advertised to be, and so we are hoping to help other people avoid being stuck in the same trap as we were.
Firstly, there was absolutely none of the activities that were advertised… no party games, no bonfire sunset… The two hosts spent 75% of their time talking with the same group of 4-5 people. Usually, in crawls like this, their job is to try to create a great group atmosphere with drinking games and entertainment, but this was clearly lacking in this tour. I honestly think the only time they talked to us was when we checked-in at the beginning😂 As I said, my boyfriend did more than 20 pub crawls in his life, and never did he find a “party” atmosphere as monotone and boring.
What really put a damper on our day though, was the very inappropriate, provocative and sexual dancing that was not only condoned by the hosts, but it was actually them that started it. We are all for dancing and having fun, but when someone is twerking in a bikini at literally 2 centimeters of our face or dry humping someone else on top of my boyfriend’s head, or doing body shots on top of seats ON A ROLLING BUS, and the hosts are not putting a stop to this inappropriate behaviour but encouraging it, we believe a line has been crossed between fun partying and very inappropriate behaviour. We could not believe the scene that was unfolding before us on the bus. I repeat: in all of the pub crawls my boyfriend has done, he has NEVER even been close to seeing something so vulgar.
As I said, we are all for partying. For example, the day before, we did a fun open-bar catamaran tour where everyone was dancing, partying and having fun. On that catamaran tour, there was a clear sign that said that “no provocative or sexual dancing would be tolerated”. This resulted in everyone having a wonderful time, without feeling very uncomfortable, because no random girl’s butt was at 2 centimeters of their face ;) We strongly encourage anyone reading to priorise these catamaran tours! Much better value also, with included food and unlimited drinks!!!
Finally, we were very disappointed with management! We wrote to them after the tour to explain our disappointment and they told us to pass at the office the next day. We thought we would have the time, but finally we had an early transfer to our next destination, so we explained our problem in writing. Management saw our message and never wrote back to us. This just goes to show that management is ok with the ideas of guests being uncomfortable on the tour.
In conclusion, if the type of partying described resonates with you: book this tour. But if you are like us, and like partying without getting into very sexual and provocative behaviour, there are many better options to have fun in Tamarindo :)

these costa rican baddies know how to party!! good energy good people good vibes! book them! one thing i would suggest is to pick more locations like las brisas. las brisas has a great dancefloor. we also went to 360 which has gorgeous views and architecture. the dj was mediocre but we still had fun anyways!! lots of dancing and getting crunk on the bus! be ready for a banging time!

Hey Chopperz!
The tour is currently closed until December 1st. The day starts at Sharkys sports bar from 12pm with happy hour and drink specials. We leave at 1pm sharp and head to the 1st of our 3 awesome stops. We have a number of venues depending on the season and their availability so its tricky to say exactly where we will go week to week. We stop at bars and restaurants on the beach or with a pool or both, starting from the Flamingo area (roughly 45 mins north of Tamarindo) and work our way north before coming home at 7pm arriving around 7.45/8pm back at Sharkys!

We are staying at RIU palace. How readily available is transportation to and from our resort? We do not want to get “stuck” with no way back to the resort.

I recommend pre-booking transportation with your hotel. There are plenty of taxis/shuttles to take you back to the RIU palace from Tamarindo, but always better to plan ahead.
