‪We're so glad we picked Gecko to plan and book our honeymoon in Costa Rica. We knew we wanted to travel to a few different destinations but wanted something more customisable than a prearranged tour. Gecko provided just that!

We provided a few details about what sort of holiday we were looking for, and the destinations, and Monika came back with a fully customised itinerary including hotels, activities and transport, which we were then able to tweak even further. Monika was super easy to communicate with and quick to reply by email, which was really useful with the time difference from the UK.

The holiday itself was amazing and went very smoothly. We were particularly impressed with how smoothly the shared shuttle transportation worked. We are so happy we chose a Costa Rican travel agency who have the specific expertise to plan a custom trip in this incredibly beautiful country!‬

‪Andrea was wonderful to work with. She made arrangements for much of our travels as well as a couple of tours. Whenever we had a question or needed something, Adrea would help us. The cost of services by Gecko Trail were quite reasonable and everything went as planned. Andrea arranged transportation from San Jose to Puerto Viejo del Talamanca and then to Tortuguero and back to San Jose. She recommended the wonderful Mawambi Lodge in Tortuguero and made reservations for our stay. The cacao tour to BriBri she organized for us was exceptional.

We highly recommend Gecko Trail.‬

‪Obwohl wir eigentlich alle Reisen immer selber organisieren, haben wir uns dieses Mal die Unterstützung einer Fachfrau vor Ort gegönnt. Wir können das nur empfehlen, alles stressfrei und super organisiert durch Monika von Gecko Trail. Sie hat unsere Interessen und Vorlieben gleich im ersten Wurf perfekt auf den Punkt gebracht und uns pro Destination mehrere Hoteloptionen unterbreitet. So konnten wir unsere individuellen Wünsche gut einbringen. Vor Ort hat alles reibungslos funktioniert, inklusive Mietauto-Übergabe und Inlandflug. Dank der umfangreichen Route haben wir Costa Rica von unten bis oben entdeckt. Wir sind begeistert und werden Monika und Gecko Trail jedem empfehlen, der dieses wunderbare Land bereisen möchte. ‪A great travel agency experience!‬

‪We normally set up our own trips but given the language barrier and a new country to visit we decided to get some help.
We got Monika's name from some friends and she helped us book a 3 week trip in CR.
A very good experience!
We chose the areas of CR we wanted to visit and Monika worked with us in arranging transportation and lodging logistics along with a few tours.
Everything went extremely smoothly and Monika was very responsive to both the initial booking questions we had along with some subsequent tour bookings mid-trip.
Highly recommend!‬

‪Service great until they got our money‬

‪We arranged our two weeks in Costa Rica with the help of Tamara at Gecko Trail. I know we paid more for the privilege of her coordinating all transfers and hotels and we appreciated that. However when we attempted contact to confirm certain details while in the country, there was no reply for 48 hours. If we had urgently needed their assistance that would have been an issue. Another negative, and this was on me as I didn’t request this, was that our invoice did not have any breakdown of costs for the hotels or shuttles. Also, when asked for advice Re one excursion vs another, or recommendations for restaurants, there were no clear answers. We were told to check with the hotels for their advice, I did expect more in that regard.‬

‪5 weeks trip in Costa Rica ‬

‪Our trip in Costa Rica was amazing. We spent 5 weeks in the country and booked part of the travel with the help of gecko trail costa rica. ‪Amazing Honeymoon Experience‬

‪We used Gecko to plan our Honeymoon and it was the best experience I have ever had using a tour service for all of our vacation needs. Monika was our Gecko rep and she was amazing. Very communicative and flexible with our needs. She took care of EVERYTHING from the time we touched down into San Jose to when we left. The excursions we planned went very smoothly and when one of the activities ended up being canceled, she provided plenty of options to consider in place of it. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Costa Rica that really wants to get the most out of their trip. Thank you Monika and Gecko!!!‬

es war eine tolle und unvergessliche Zeit, die wir in Costa Rica verleben durften. Wir waren unheimlich beeindruckt von der Natur, den Tieren, dem karibischen Meer und der Einstellung der Menschen die dort leben. Um dies auch unbeschwert und aktiv erleben zu können, bedarf es auch einer Organisation die möglichst stressfrei und reibungslos verläuft. Genau an dieser Stelle möchte ich mich ganz herzlich bei Nina und Ihrem Team von Gecko Trail für die tolle und stressfreie Organisation bedanken. Die Tour war klasse zusammengestellt, alle Unterkünfte und Events waren entsprechend gebucht und so konnte es nur ein toller Urlaub werden. Ich kann daher Gecko Trail nur weiter empfehlen und habe beschlossen in den nächsten Jahren über Gecko Trail wieder nach Costa Rica zu reisen.‬

‪Monika is amazing. I gave her my dates, and she gave me options that ended up being the best vacation I’ve gone on by myself. She has all the details figured out for me, and she even went above and beyond to help me re-configure my first day when Southwest messed up my flights. I will always recommend Monika to anyone that is going to Costa Rica.
I only wish there were Monikas all over the world to provide this kind of service.‬

‪We could not recommend Gecko Trial any higher! The service and help and generosity and professionalism was second to none- we had booked the original holiday over 2.5 years ago and were really worried the company would go under due to Covid- they clearly didn't and I would advise anyone else to use Andrea and her company- what complete stars- thank you so much and so lovely of you to come and meet us on our last day.‬
