Krishi vigyan kendra is a Farm Science Center. and it was established for help to farmers and promote then to farm in scientific way. Nice place to visit.

Visited KVK Baramati on 20th & 21st December 2018 to understand the great work done by Baramati KVK team. It’s a huge 110 acre campus which undertakes many training programmes on agriculture with various on-going scientific agro projects. While every district has its own KVK (Krishi Vigyaan Kendra) across India, farmers & agro business owners across India visit this KVK to learn & understand the agricultural initiatives taken by Baramati team. During my 2 day visit I met farmers from across Maharashtra, Telangana & Karnataka in campus. Soil testing, Soil less farming, farming using coco pit, advanced study on vegetables & flower farming in poly house, vegetables centre of excellence in collaboration with Govt.of Netherlands & proposed dairy centre of excellence are the few interesting & advance projects/ initiatives taken by KVK Baramati. Another important initiative taken by KVK Baramati is KRISHIK mobile application which given information to farmers on weather forecast, market rates, agro news, govt schemes, guidance on animal care & many more agri basic requirements. KVK Baramati also has Agricultural tourism department which arranges the stay & other agro tourism related activities. Unfortunately, during my visit it was not operational.
Team of KVK Baramati is very helpful & enthusiastic about the work. They talk passionately about agriculture & KVK Baramati. One of the person about whom I would like to mention about is Mr.Onkar Dhobale, who accompanied me during my visit to KVK & explained every thing in detail. In early age of 20’s, he is very passionate about his work & KVK Baramati. I offered him to join for dinner which he politely rejected saying “it’s against the rule of KVK & Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati”. I was delighted with the ethics of this person in early 20’s.
While Government provides many facilities, funding to farmers, it’s the political or social leadership, MP or MLA who need to ensure that the benefit, knowledge & awareness is spread across the end farmer. Thanks to thought leadership of Shri Sharad Pawar, who founded the Agricultural Development Trucks way back in 1970. Not only the farmers are educated, next generation passionate farmer trainers like Onkar Dhobale are identified & trained KVK team & leadership. My best wishes to Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati & KVK team.

If you are thinking to come to see museum them combine this trip with Krishi kendra as it has many informative things. Also it has lots of agriculture initiatives.

It was last month when I had my first visit to Baramati for an agricultural exhibition which was largest of its kind in Asia. Though I'm not into farming,this place has made my good sight towards future of agriculture. Highly equipped laboratories and advanced polyhouses can be seen here. It takes around 2-3 hours to visit whole campus in brief. An unforgettable visit.

If you are searching for any knowledge in the field of agriculture, this KVK is the right place. From animal husbandry to polyhouse you can find everything there. They also provide various trainings on different topics which is useful.

This place is situated in Malegaon about 7 km from Baramati. You will get a good knowledge of Agriculture field like the varius kinds of crops, various methods for making compost etc. One who is interested in Agriculture field or one who's income is only depends on Agriculture should visit this place. I bet you will definitely get something good from this.

If you are into gardening, farming, this place is must visit if you are into Baramati. They annually host huge agriculture technology event every year. Round the year they have many type of plants made available in their nursery. Good place to visit .
