Under any circumstances, do not come here. The birds are in terrible conditions, in cages much too small for them and aviaries packed far too tight. Multiple of the parrots at the park show signs of plucking their feathers, a self-mutilation behavior comparable to cutting in humans that they do when depressed, anxious or otherwise stressed. Vultures and hornbills were kept in cages with no space to fly like they are built to, which would cause their wing and breast muscles to suffer. The first cage you see when you enter the park is the cockatiel enclosure, and one of the first things I noticed was that many of the cockatiels had bald spots on their heads from fighting with the other cockatiels. The birds at this park are treated extremely poorly, and I regret ever financially supporting this park.

Ein Vogelpark (u.a. Aras, Kakadus, Amazonen, Tukane, Flamingos) der insbesondere bei Ausstattung und Größe der Kafige/Volieren nicht mit europäischen Standart mit halten kann. Der Eintritt ist günstig (70 Rand). Eine Flugshow (mit Pelikan, Hornvogel, lachendem Hans u.a.) und ein Imbiß sind vorhanden. Vor dem Eingang gibt es Parkplätze. Am besten mit einem Taxi (uber) vom Hafen zu erreichen.

Please send these birds to fly free to Birds of Eden. They do not deserve to be held in captivity. Animals are not here for us to use for entertainment or for profit

Wonderful smaller park. Some enclosures are still closed due to the damage from the floods. Nice Cafe with tasty food and quick service. Parking is shaded. The free flight show is very sweet.

They clearly have no funds to maintain the park. It's such a shame that it has gone to rack and ruin. Please someone buy it so that can be restored to its previous glory. Those poor birds. What a shame and disgrace.

I made the mistake of following friends but please don't go.
The cage are rellay small, the birds can't flight. They are not healthy and the cages are dirty.
It's not like that I would like to see birds.

The bird show was really nice, as the staff make it awesome, disappointing walk around the park from when I was last there a few years back, there were so many more birds. I really hope that the park can be cleaned and more animals and birds are available

Visited and have seen various kind of birds. They are having a very good bird show for about 25 minutes that is must watch to see trained birds. Nice to visit.

I love this small little park, Its easy reachable and you practically see all the amazing creatures of KZN like all the birds. It’s fairly small, but so does the entrance fee, so you would not spend mor then 30 minutes here, but it’s perfect for an daytrip actually. I like the place.

Is it possible to just show up and pay an entry fee? From the website it seems to only cater to larger tours and what not. (We’re only 2) thanks!

Yes! Just arrive and pay at the entrance. Entrance fees are around R60pp. Get your swan food and nectar at the entrance too.

Actually I did recommend the bird park by mentioning it was well worth visiting. It is beautifully situated, has wide variety of birds. They also rehabilitate birds there and offer some educational shows daily.
