‪The cooking class was great fun, our team enjoyed making the empanadas a lot! The instructions were easy to follow and the food turned out great.‬

‪I brought my family and we had a great time! The menu was adjusted for a few vegetarians too. The setting is really nice, and the wine is a nice touch!‬

‪Online cooking class, empanadas!‬

‪We had taken a class in Buenos Aires with Tierra Negra back in 2014. When I heard they were offering online classes I jumped on it, such a great self quarantine thing to do! We made empanadas today, a classic beef and a caprese. Very easy actually and delicious. Highly recommend. Taking a class on alfajores later this week.‬

‪Second time around: online, but still excellent‬

‪I first did a cooking class with Tierra Negra in Oct. 2014, in-person with a big group of friends on a visit to Buenos Aires. I have been raving about the empanadas since then, and so tried an online cooking class with my family today. Veronica and Manuel did a great job and their charisma translated as well onscreen as it did in person! The empanadas were delicious, although we missed the wine pairings! Highly recommend as a fun quarantine activity.‬

‪Empanada Express!‬

‪Manuel and Veronica put together a fantastic hands on class. We made two types of empanadas with a wine pairing. By the end of the class I felt I could make empanadas on my own and when I returned home I did (Thanks, Manuel!). The next time I’m in Buenos Aires I will take another Tierra Negra class. I would highly recommend any class presented by Manuel and Veronica.‬

‪Manuel and Veronica taught us about Argentinian wine regions, food, and culture, all while providing an entertaining and hands-on cooking class. We baked buns and alfajores, while Manuel and Veronica cooked the sausages and potatoes. Excellent food, and we got the recipes to attempt at home. Wished we could have done another class while we were in BA!‬

‪On the ‘Must Do’ List‬

‪On our second day in Buenos Aires we took this informative, entertaining and delicious class. Not only did we have fun making empanadas, we learned a lot about the regions of Argentina, its wines and its beef. Veronica and Manuel are very personable and have set up a very comfortable and professional operation in their home. Our lunch of the empanadas we made, along with Torrontes wine, was alone worth the price of the class. This was definitely one of the best parts of our trip.‬

‪Great way to celebrate a birthday!‬

‪We booked the Empanada Class as a fun way to celebrate a friend’s birthday and it did not disappoint. Victoria and Manuel were warm and welcoming and we had a great time preparing our lunch at their dining room table. They gave cultural and historical background to the food and the proper way to eat an empanada. They also explained the differences in the shapes which determines the ingredients. Wish we had had the inside information at the beginning if our trip!

Manuel was very organized and gave clear, concise instructions and it was so enjoyable to watch our husbands attempt to roll out “roundish” pastry. We made beef and caprese empanadas and they were the best empanadas we had during our trip which says a lot about what good teachers we had. Veronica gave us the interesting background to our “Liar’s” wine which fabulous (and organic) and paired so well with our food. They were also so thoughtful and provided and little postre with a candle for the birthday girl!

They emailed the recipes for the food and sauce that we made and we can’t wait to try to recreate our very tasty lunch‬
