Les quiero contar que mi esposa, mi hijo de 10 años y yo pasamos una experiencia re bacán en la clase de cocina del Asado Cooking Class en Mendoza con el maestro Mauricio. Desde que llegamos, nos recibió con una buena onda impresionante y nos metió de lleno en la cultura y tradición argentina del asado. El ambiente era relajado y chévere, y se aseguraron de que los tres nos sintiéramos en casa.
El maestro Mauricio era re piola, nos enseñó todo el proceso de preparación del asado, desde la selección de la carne y la cocción a la parrilla. Además, nos dio muchos trucos y técnicas útiles para cocinar el asado perfecto, y todo esto fue en un lenguaje que mi hijo también pudo entender y disfrutar.
Además de la clase de cocina, también disfrutamos de una cata de vinos locales que estuvo buenaza y complementó perfectamente la comida que estábamos preparando. Fue una experiencia re divertida y educativa para los tres, sin duda recomendaría el Asado Cooking Class con el maestro Mauricio a cualquier familia que quiera aprender más sobre la cultura y la comida argentina. ¡Ya queremos volver!

This is a great experience for those who want to learn the art of the Argentine Asado, from how to make and tend the fire, to making the chimichuri, preparing the vegetables and of course how to properly (slowly) cook the meat. The food was tasty and plentiful, as was the wine, even if the latter was fairly average.
It was a bit on the expensive side, for a dinner out, but you are paying for the instruction as well as the food.

Mauricio is an exceptional host, opening his home to travellers and sharing his extensive knowledge about asado during a hands-on experience.
We learnt how to build the fire and he also shows us how to prepare a number of delicious side dishes.
He also made sure that all the food restrictions in our group were met: gluten free, lactose free, food allergies.
And he came to pick us up from our hotel.
I would book this again tomorrow - a wonderful and very memorable experience.

Were to begin?! Mauricio was an amazing host and teacher; he is patient, kind, funny and just an overall amazing person. He truly cares to show his guest the art of a true Asada, that you end up immersing into the whole experience and easily falling in love with the whole experience. There were several times throughout that day, that we would forget that we were in a cooking class and felt more like we were back home in the South with our family. We laughed, we learned, we had wine, but most importantly we cooked and we ate! We could tell that Mauricio didn’t cut any corners as the meat he picked was top notched & how it was prepared and cooked was to perfection (That says a lot coming from a Texas native).
We arrived as tourist trying to learn the culture and the art of an Asada and we truly felt like we left having made a friend. If you are looking for an actual immersive cooking class where you get to feel like home while you learn, then this is it y’all! And to Mauricio, “Gracias por abrir las puertas de su hogar y por compartir esta gran experiencia con nosotras. Fue un honor conocerlo a usted y a su hija.” We hope to come back and be able to do this with y’all again, until next time ☺️

My significant other and I did this experience and absolutely recommend it. We are learning Spanish and our host spoke fluent English and helped us as we tried to learn how to cook and pick up a few new words and phrases. This experience felt like we were cooking in our friend's (beautiful) backyard. We learned so much about asado and we also had an incredible time chatting and cooking together. This is a very wonderful experience and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a personalized cooking class in Mendoza. Also - we had the best food we have eaten in Argentina so far!

From beginning to end, this was one of my favorite experiences of all time! Mauricio is an amazing host and teacher with such a warm presence, lots of knowledge and experience to share, and a wonderful home to host you during this immersive cooking experience. He is patient, kind and ensures you will leave his class with great insight into Asado plus full stomaches after a delicious evening of food and wine.
It's hard to say which part is my favorite as the entire experience was truly special. Mauricio not only opened up his home to us but also welcomed us with open arms into what was both an informative and interactive cooking experience. What makes Mauricio's cooking class so fun is how much work you actually get to do rather than sit as a spectator during a cooking demonstration. We came hungry and ready to be put to work for a fun, immersive experience. I truly loved how we got to work to make a special meal with Mauricio's endless knowledge and helpful tips along the way. In addition to putting in the fun effort of preparing our delicious meal, we were served an endless rotation of homemade appetizers prepared by Mauricio. Of course the wine was bountiful, and the conversation was so great!
The food was AMAZING. All of the meat, vegetables and dessert knocked my socks off! I can happily say that Mauricio's cooking class was one of the best I've ever been fortunate to experience. I learned so much about different cooking techniques while also enjoying the company and conversation of Mauricio and his lovely daughter. It was like spending time with family!
I highly recommend this Asado Cooking Class to anyone in Mendoza! This is a great experience for small groups so that you can have an intimate night of food, wine and lots of fun conversation and learning. I know that if I ever have the chance to visit Mendoza again, I will be returning to Mauricio's cooking experience in a heartbeat.

My friends and I had booked several wine tours in Mendoza, and found the Asado Cooking Class when looking for a different type of experience for dinner, I am so glad we were able to go and meet Mauricio. He was a great host and an amazing cook! He explained the traditional Asado and taught us how to setup the fire and prepare the meat and food. Everyone had a chance to participate, and then even better, we all got to sit down together and enjoy our dinner I would highly recommend this experience as something fun and unique to try, don't worry about your cooking skills as Mauricio is a great teacher! He and his family welcomed us into their home and it was a great evening

Such a fun experience. Was a pleasure learning about Argentinian cooking and getting to know Mauricio and his family. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to make some of the recipes at home. Would definitely recommend!!

I wanted to add something a bit different to our itinerary to do after the wineries. Mauricio was an absolute amazing host and very responsive as we organized this for me and my friends. For anyone worried about language his English is great! We felt like we were visiting long lost friends at his home, plus learning how to do asado was clearly the best part. Check it out you wont regret it!

Hola, tuve oportunidad de organizar una experiencia de asado criollo con Mauricio y la verdad fue memorable. Tanto la atención, la preocupación por los detalles, el manejo del grupo y por supuesto la comida fueron de primera. Si bien él hace clases para grupos pequeños, lo recomiendo mucho para grupos más grandes y/o familias, que quieren vivir esta experiencia en un entorno agradable dentro de la ciudad.

Hola !! El costo de la actividad es de 110 dólares por persona, siendo el cupo mínimo de 2 participantes.
Incluye transporte desde el hotel , si está en zona de ciudad, entradas regionales ( picada ), agua mineral, vinos Malbec de Mendoza, ensalada, vegetales grillados, excelentes cortes de carne, postre y trago o café de despedida. Además toda la instrucción de la elaboración de un típico asado argentino desde el encendido del fuego, tiempos de cada corte y vegetales, hasta el servido en la mesa, todo con la activa participación de los clientes en una atmósfera relajada y familiar como es mi hogar.
