Really cool tour of downtown Prescott. Lots of history in AZ's first territorial capital. Tour guide was super knowledgeable. Presented history in a fun way. Lots of interesting stories.

If you're into shopping you will probably enjoy. Found a good local place for brunch. Didn't really see much related to western history as advertised

Fun and interesting area to walk around it. Enjoyed info about the water tower - and liked the fact that there's a splash pad for kids.

I always enjoy spending time at the square! Fun little shops and a pretty Courthouse. Great place to escape the heat during the summer and during the Christmas holiday the lights at the square are beautiful!

This area is incredible because of the layers of AZ history. The buildings are to the period and the square is just old school America. Great shopping, beer, and food. Loved it!

Drove up from San Tan Valley and firstly what a gorgeous drive! It’s like a movie set, but so is most of Arizona! We loved Prescott, very picturesque and the people were very friendly. Some great shops and restaurants around the central Courthouse. I’d definitely visit again and stay longer.

We went on a walking tour and explored the historic downtown area of Prescott. Was such a enjoyable time. Learned so much of Prescott and Arizona.

Courthouse Square is the traditional western town square with the courthouse in the center. Beautiful park around it with statutes and walkway. No bums anymore! It is clean and safe. Shops, cafes, bars all around in the buildings. Bars galore on the Whiskey Row side. Many other good establishments in the street leading to the square. It is a joy to wal around!

Nice little saloon town. Good stroll. Good old style candy and amenities. Cowboy hats and Native American art and souvenirs. Dry Heat town. Beverages up. Cheers!

We visited some cute shops. The kids loved the candy store. We also taste tested oils and vinegar. The lady who helped us was very welcoming and willing to help us when we needed it.

Yes, here's the scoop on the Prescott Resort and Conference Center
Not quite on the same scale as a California “resort’, but nice enough. It certainly has stunning sunrise and sunset views across Prescott and a wonderful patio where you can enjoy them with a cocktail if you’re so inclined. The rooms were cozy, comfortable and clean and I’m guessing that most have great views too. I ate a decent, inexpensive meal in the casino and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. (The casino restaurant has daily specials so it’s worth checking out the restaurant there compared to the “resort restaurant” if you don’t care about ambiance.) I was traveling solo and had been hiking all day so it was just fine with me.

Good question, although too many unknowns at this stage. I’d check out both the Prescott and Prescott Valley Chambers of Commerce for more info; they’ll give you a much better insight than I could offer. Further, the local area governments may have a process for tow truck operators and how they may become part of the bidding for any ordinance violation work. As far as a place to live, hard to beat this area for quality of life, clean air, nice folks, and all the things that smaller towns can offer, yet only 90 minutes from Phoenix if you need that. Wages are probably lower, as mentioned, and while housing is a tight market in this are for purchase or rental, with some good planning ahead those issues should even out. Cost of living in aggregate is probably favorable depending on your current location. If you’re serious, the best way to find out the facts is to plan a trip and make sure you see all the contacts needed to make an informed decision. Besides, what a great place to spend a few days (or more) anyway! Good luck as you wrestle with this.

I received a parking ticket across from the Square for 'parking outside the lines' yet there are no signs saying it's ILLEGAL and will cost $93.00 if you park outside the lines. Does Prescott expect to install signs or add notes to their website/TripAdvisor page noting that it's illegal to park on our outside of a parking line? I was ON the line not OUTSIDE the line yet received a $93.00 ticket.

Did you take a picture of your car to confirm this? I would take it to a judge because maybe you were between two cars that forced you to park this way and when they left, you looked like the culprit. Chamber of Commerce also should be informed.

If you can see only one or two attractions in Prescott what would they be?

If you only have a short time in Prescott the Corthouse Square and surrounding shops will give you the flavor of Prescott. Often on weekends in the summer local vendors and artists host an open air market. Stop at The Palace Restaurant to take a look at the pictures of old Prescott. Wyatt Earp actually ate here. The Lone Spur Cafe on the square is also historic and serves excellent breakfast and lunch. Around the corner is the Sharlot Hall Museum and Grounds that offers a glimpse into the history of Prescott and the area.
The Lake Watson area is a beautiful place to take a short nature walk or a longer hike through the dells.
Jerome and Sedona are definitely full days each.
