There were many people at the Reader's Oasis Bookstore. Some were walking, others look for books.
Not all books were well put, some are not always to find a book without finding one.
However, if you have a good book Enjoy!

When we walked in the Reader's Oasis Bookstore, we saw lots of old books.
We had problems to find books that we like, because they were not organized. The same for movies as well.
However, the people at the Reader's Oasis Bookstore were very friendly.
There was also a lot of parking.
Worthwhile to see!

We went in and their was an authors fair only one author showed up. I think this will be long gone soon. Too bad lots of great titles on vhs if they we’re DVD we would have scooped them up. Hutton in will not last long

I was there a few days after a tribute to the original 'naked' owner who passed last year and they offered me some cake from the tribute! Books are basically all over the place, and somewhat organized. Lots of neat titles...fun place to stop for a unique Quartzsite experience.

This book store is kind of a legend in Quartzsite, you should stop in. It’s mostly used books, many could use some TLC. Most everything has a fine coating of dust, but some newer books have some plastic wrap. Unfortunately, the quirky owner and resident nudist, passed away this year. His wife is running the bookstore now, but not sure how long she can hang on to it. So stop by and purchase a used book.

It's definitely a Unique place to visit, And you will likely find and old book or two that you will take home.
We often take first time visitors there just to watch their reactions...It's kind of fun!

So I had heard about this place before. Famous for the scantily clad owner. Well, we actually came because we travel full time and like to recycle books. And, there are plenty of those here. So, come for the books. Don’t expect pristine quality, and you can check out the authors of self published books at a few tables as you enter.
As other reviews have noted the naked guy isn’t here much. So it isn’t the reason to come. We spent 20 minutes and traded two books for one and were happy with the experience. Selection is eclectic and not well organized.
If in the area I would come back, but would not have high hopes of finding anything specific.

A lot of books from every genre you can imagine. I enjoyed browsing, but,....the management is??? how do I say...different. Don't take the kids here.

Every town must have its quirky character and Quartzsite’s runs this bookstore. Clothing is definitely not an option for this gentleman so go at your own risk. The books and anything else sold here are old, dusty and outdated (but I doubt many go for the merchandise). Paul Winer is an accomplished pianist and started “Celia’s Garden” in honor of his daughter. How does one get away with being naked in public? Live in a small desert community where you become a tourist attraction.

My friend was able to visit and the "naked" owner was heading out the door to run errands. Another friend popped in and he was on an errand run. I stopped by a couple of times and again he was gone to do errands. He wears a sock on his privates and, if cool, a shirt. Some people like his book selection, some don't. There are other book sellers in this parking lot so if he isn't available you can still shop.
