We enjoyed walking around the park, but the highlight is the model train building. It is very well done. We came back for the Christmas train at night. A fun time for all

Must see for children and in my case, toddlers! You can choose to go here and not spend any money or you can buy train tickets and carousel tickets ~$3/ticket for over 3.
The playground and the railroad museum are completely free and are very entertaining by itself. The Pullman car here was used for four different presidents as their mode for transportation! My husband coined it "train force one". It's on the National list of historical places and is worth checking out.

To seniors. Thoroughly enjoyed this park. Took a ride on the kitty train for three dollars each. Walked into the museum buildings. Especially enjoyed the original Pullman train that was used by four US presidents. Park staff are friendly and helpful.

Something for everyone....our littles enjoyed the train ride and playground park, our elementary kids enjoyed the train display building, carousel, and the adults enjoyed the history of the train used by the Presidents. Prices are reasonable-great family place to go.

We took our 13 year old grandson here for an afternoon. Terrific spot, especially the massive displays of working model railroads. He would have spent all day there. A lot of detail has gone into the displays. Lovely outdoor venue as well.

Great train ride for very young kids and toddlers. Beautiful park. We ate lunch there as well and price was good.

Super cool train ride and carousel. Only $3.00 per ride. Museum was closed but we have seen it before, very nice.

Always a great time riding the train with a 3 year old.

This was a fun place to learn about the role of railroads in this country, as to well as to see a Pullman car which carried several of our presidents. This is also a great place for children. However, it seems some of the snack food vending areas were closed. The train ride was fun.

I thought this was going to be something big to see, but was mostly just a glorified group picnic spot and playground for young children. They have a carousel and small train ride that you have to buy tickets for. Train conductor lied to us about the time schedule, so that didn't sit well with me. Basically, he went whenever he pleased and didn't have a schedule. There are a few interesting exhibits. One of the biggest model train displays I've ever seen. The Presidential Pullman car was very interesting and worth seeing. You really only need an hour to see the place.
Overall, the place was running over with unruly children, so that detracted from the experience.

There is no admission fee to visit the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. Tickets to ride the train and carousel are $2.00 each, with children two and under riding free. There is a minor admission fee to the museum, which is $2 dollars per adult. Children under the age of 13 also get free admittance to the Scottsdale Railroad Museum with a paying adult.
