Amazing surf lessons! We had a beginner class with Jordy, and then an intermediate class with Henry. They know very well how to teach beginners, as this was our first time on a surf board - and we were standing up in less than an hour! (as they promised). Highly Recommend, looking forward to surfing in the future.

Excelente experiencia, Henry, Mario, Jordi; los mejores instructores, mis hijos aprendieron rápido y la pasaron increíble. No duden en tomar clases con ellos, seriedad y excelencia.

Nous étions un groupe de 8 et nous avons eu 1 instructeur pour 2 personnes. Nous étions très bien encadrés, bien préparés, le personnel était attentif et nous avons pu rapidement nous tenir sur notre planche grâce leurs bons conseils. Belle expérience!

Other lessons may be cheaper but this is the best place to go! My Fiancé and I took a lesson from Henry. I’ve taken multiple lessons in the past and he was the best instructor I’ve had. Super positive and a really good teacher.

Excellent surf lesson. Henry was our instructor and he was very good at keeping it fun and building your confidence. He payed attention to every wave attempt and knew what little tweaks you needed to make to be successful. Haven’t surfed in 5 years and I was catching waves within the hour. My wife as well! Thank you Henry!!

We went a few times for surf lessons with our 9-year old son. Big selection of boards, a lot of capable and very nice instructors (special kudos to Henry). Lessons were in Dominicalito and were perfect to fit our different needs (beginner - intermediate).
On weekends there was a „Summer camp“ especially for kids, which was amazing for our son.
There are a lot of surf schools in Dominical, but IMHO it’ll be tough to find a more professional and fun choice.

Our family have all enjoyed lessons from the team at Sunset Surf for months, they do such a great job and they're amazing with kids. It's so fun to watch as kids learn to surf with this team, highly recommend!

Hi, I'm very curious as to how much it costs per person, for someone who is about 15-16 years old, and would only be for one day. Also do you accommodate large groups?

Sunset Surf can accommodate any size group and and charge $55 p.p. for beginner surf lessons and $60 p.p. for intermediate surf lessons. They include everything you will need even organic sunblock!

I've never surfed before. Would it be silly to sign up for a full day of lessons or would I be better off having an hour lesson and then trying it on my own for the day? I'm an excellent swimmer, former competitor in high school so the swimming part is easy and I've boogie boarded and body boarded. Also, it would be my husband, who has never surfed and my 2 kids ages 7 & 9, both fearless swimmers.

I agree with John first take a lesson so you understand ocean safety and the proper mechanics of getting up on a surf board then you can practice on your own in the white water. Then you should join an intermediate class where you will learn everything you will need to know to surf on your own one day.
