Interesting information about the dam construction and how the cold tail waters changed the eco system....for the good I think since I like to trout fish.

We enjoyed walking around and looking/reading and we really enjoyed the history lesson the video showed.

Definitely a visitors center you don't want to miss. Lots of wonderful exhibits. Detailed information about the dam and lake. Wonderful view of the dam.

The whole family will enjoy visiting this center. There are many displays of the local fish as well as well as interesting facts. Take a walk out on the back deck for wonderful views of the dam and river below!

Once you cross the dam, the Visitor Center is at the top of the hill; great place to pick up any brochures of points of interests

Have been here several times (with children and grandkids as well as friends). I see and learn something new on every visit.
It’s not just a visitor center, it’s a museum and a resource and a relaxing and scenic overlook.
And there is NO Charge!
Just one of the reasons they call Arkansas the NATURAL state.

This center ticks all the boxes, Location, Local Advice, Clean Restrooms...Its got it all!!
It also has a nearby walking trail if you want to stretch your legs and a nice butterfly garden.

I haven't been to Bull Shoals in several years; and remember when the location of the current Visitor Center was just an overlook with bathrooms. The Center is beautiful and very impressive! It offers many interesting exhibits and an educational movie about the area; that runs every 30 minutes. The view of Bull Shoals dam and White river from The Center is stunning! Seven flood gates were open to release high water levels during my visit; a rare sight to experience. Linda and Tracy at the front desk are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area; displaying excellent customer service towards all guests. Definitely drop in to the James A. Gaston Visitor Center; a must see!

Hello, Our summer hours are 8 am to 8 pm. (May 16 till the day after Labor day). Winter months are 8 am to 5 pm. I hope you have a marvelous day.
