We loved roaming round this beautiful and ancient minster, packed with surprises. For example there are two huge memorial brasses from the mid-14th century. Also the circular stained glass window was stunning, and the gardens at the front were well-kept and colourful. There were some stoical and friendly ladies offering tea, coffee and cakes inside, I think this is a regular thing from 11am to 1pm every Saturday, but check before you go - we are out-of-towners and this is the first visit we have made. (The service and food is way better than you'll find at one of the local chain-type coffee houses!!)

The Minster is a majestic building to wander around and enjoy the peace that a church offers, also admire the stained glass windows, a wonderful place to visit.

We recently was part of a guided walk and one of the places we visited was Minster, from entering to leaving the visit was amazing. The guide was so passionate and knowledge not only in Minster but also Kings Lynn. It is certainly worth a visit.

The original building dates from the 12th to 15th centuries and it underwent major restoration of the nave in the 18th century. The impressive organ also dates back to the mid-18th century. But what impressed me the most was the wood carving throughout the church. The intricately carved 14th and 15th century oak screens are very impressive, but it is also worth taking a close inspection of some of the chancel stalls These also date from the 14th century and have small detailed carvings of knights heads including the heads of the Edward the Black Prince and Henry Despenser, the Bishop of Norwich. Then there are coats of arms of several Norfolk families.
There are also some impressive stained glass windows and obviously several tombs of significant age dotted about the floor and walls.
I’ve visited a couple of cathedral’s recently where I felt the serenity of the building had been lost in the pursuit of commercialism and modernism, so it was nice to visit here where there is none of that. It’s just a fine historical building which retains its serenity as a place of worship

nice looking minster. lovely outside with very well kept gardens. we appreciated the effort put into that. lovely flowers and the overall impression was that there are people who love the minster and care for it well.
inside there's plenty of detail. lots of things to see. we were made to feel welcome and we really enjoyed our visit. excellent all round

Huge monastic church . Full of interest and beautifully kept.

Just a spectacular church. The best around from Norwich and Ely (these cities have wonderful cathedrals). It is an amazing building.

Certainly take the time to visit the Minster. It is an amazing building with wonderful stained glass windows. Very atmospheris and sits perfectly opposite the Guild Hall

My wife and I visited the Minster late afternoon and the organist was playing throughout our visit. Joyful and it added real spiritual value to the experience.

Nice set of stained glass windows and super wood retable. Clearly a working church and somehow reflective. Lovely small garden to one side.

Yes dogs are allowed and welcomed into the Minster, we do ask you to keep them off the carpeted area when a cafe is in progress; and that they are kept on a lead and under control at all times and that owners act responsibly and clear up any mess etc.
