Although small gives a great experience to what is within the local area of our seas , with hand feeding the mullet and great knowledge from the staff we enjoyed our visit

Such a lovely local aquarium with a great history. The owner is brilliant - so friendly, full of interesting stories. Feeding the grey mullet is a delight for the children.

Wonderful trip to the aquarium again, hosted by the irrepressible Max. We have come back to the aquarium every year we have visited Lyme Regis! It is small but perfectly formed, the children (and adults!) love the opportunity to hand feed the mullet and hold a starfish. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to answer any question you can think of. Strongly recommend supporting this independent, local family run buisness.

Quaint marine aquarium stocked with local fish - feed the mullet. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great value- good fun for the kids - strongly recommend!

We happened across this lovely little place while walking down The Cobb. I didn't think we'd be allowed in, as we had the dog, but the lady at the desk was so welcoming. My 6 year old son was treated so nicely, allowed to feed the fish and he was told all about them and given lots of time to ask questions. We held a starfish and learned all about them. The owner was really friendly and stopped to chat. I'd recommend to anyone, particularly families of neurodiverse children who like to ask lots of questions but may become overwhelmed with larger attractions. Small, welcoming and very friendly.

i must admit when I first stepped in I was thinking id just wasted nearly £30 (an adult 2 children and fish food) it is very tiny, but what it lacks in size it def makes up for in personal up close experience my little one loved feeding the fish and having his hands kissed by the fish and holding the star fish, the owner Max was really attentive and knowledgable and it was dog friendly which was a huge plus! def a highlight for my 10 year old who hasn't stopped talking about it and can't wait to go again! so yes it is small but still a really lovely experience and we will def return Thanks Max!

Sooo fun! & she let us hold a starfish - they are released once they’ve healed so it’s very sweet and wholesome. Would deffo go back

The Aquarium visit gave soo much more than I expected. I learnt soo much, in part due to the information boards, but mostly due to Jenna. Jenna is soo passionate and knowledgeable about the sea creatures, she was an absolute delight. Having my hand kissed by Mullet was not something I had experienced before and the things I learnt about Starfish, just amazing.

We visited the Marine Aquarium during our few days at Lyme Regis. What a fantastic experience, we had our 2 year old grand daughter with us and she loved the feeding of the grey mullet. The staff were brilliant and very knowledgeable and friendly. WEll done to everyone at the aquarium and thank you.

I think from reading reviews, this might be unpopular but £10 each for two rooms with a handful of tanks is excessive and very poor value. Plus it is extra if you want to feed the mullets. Been to far better and far more reasonably priced aquariums.

Hi just checking if dogs are still allowed in?

Hi, we went only a week ago on 13/2 and yes they are allowed. Just bear in mind it is a small space and if your dog does not like lots of busy places and noise it might not be suitable however our dog loved it as much as the kids 🤣.
