Shocking…….
We walked in and it was like a western film, everyone stopped talking (all 5 of them) and looked at us.
Land lord happy chatting to bar maid 🥴talking about himself and nothing more

Staying in Market Harborough over night we found The Admiral Nelson, such a relief after one or two other pubs. It's down a side street so mostly locals but we were immediately made welcome by them and the landlady. Thjere are two rooms though we only sat in the one on the right. Contrary to previous reviews we found it very nicely decorated and enjoyed our visit.

Don’t believe the reviews it’s a great pub full of locals who love be it, recently renovated and warm and welcoming landlords are friendly and are more than happy to accommodate you, the best back street pub around xxx

The pub is dated and needs cleaning up , It is like going back in time to a filthy 1970s backstreet pub . The furniture is uncomfortable with broken chairs , the carpet had stain marks and the pub smelt musky . This pub lacks any character or atmosphere . The Landlords weren't very nice and were barking out orders at people as though they were like an old sergeant majors from the army . Not once did I even see them smile when they served us . They just wanted to take our money and did not care about the experience we had in the pub .

Horrible place
I had heard this was supposed to be a nice pub .
Food menu availability is too limited and not very good
Drinks expensive
Rude staff
We won't be going back . The place is a dump . They call the car park a garden when in reality it's just a few old chairs and tables slung outside . The pub is dirty looking God only knows what the kitchen hygiene is like . We've been to the Oat hill a few times and always thoroughly enjoyed it . I think we will stick with the Oat hill next time .

As Carlsberg would probably the most expensive pub in Market Harborough !
Been to this place a few times. I see that it has been tidied up with new decor. Pity they didn't get rid of the old staff when they threw out the old furniture. Expensive pint of beer and no atmosphere staff not very friendly and unwelcoming and miserable , can go to so many other places in Harborough Which offer much better service and value too. whenen you compare prices here it's a rip off with the Nags offering £2 pint big difference . Probably won't be too long before this place shuts down .

Went there as I used to be a regular for over ten years. Moved to other side of town so a bit out of my way now. Sat in the lounge with my friends who have never been. Had told them what a good pub it was. Anyway I am fifty and my friends took up the bar stools. I pulled up a chair and rested on the back of it. Was asked not to do this! Really! Anyway had been their two weeks previously and had not been welcomed then. Will not go back.

Situated in the heart of the estate at the back of Cov. Rd., the Nelson is a great local pub.
The bar has a pool table and dart board a the the lounge has TV with BT Sport. The landlords (a lovely couple, Tim and Jan) are mainly rugby folk but will happily put on the football if it doesn't clash.
The food is simple but fine pub grub and the beer (from the Wells stable) is always superb.
It's in my top 3 pubs in Mkt Harb.
The bar has a pool table and dart board a the the lounge has TV with BT Sport. The landlords (a lovely couple, Tim and Jan) are mainly rugby folk but will happily put on the football if it doesn't clash.
The food is simple but fine pub grub and the beer (from the Wells stable) is always superb.
It's in my top 3 pubs in Mkt Harb.

Amazing atmosphere, staff always attentive, friendly and always a service with a smile :) they serve amazing food in the week.. on certain days is certain menu food is always lovely and hot ..

Went to the beer festival with my teenage son and stayed to listen to the bands and enjoy a few drinks.
Great couple of hours, even the Morris dancers couldn't spoil my pint!
