Margarita has opened again and it was a delight to make an appointment to view her huge range of work; there really is something for everyone here, and our teenage son was impressed with the variety of media, subject and style. She is charming and her gallery is intimate and cosy. We bought a Japanese woodcut of St Kilda. We’ll treasure it.

If you have seen Margarita's posters or fliers on your travels around Harris, they really are representative of her work. She is happy to explain whereabouts in the gallery you can find her original paintings, prints or cards and then to leave you to browse, returning later to see whether we liked the type of work she produced and to chat - without any pressure to buy whatsoever. We did chose to buy, but she was perfectly accepting that not all visitors would be purchasers.

The gallery has many different paintings inspired by the sea and landscape of Harris. Margarita is a friendly artist with a great eye for detail. The journey to and from the gallery is also interesting as it winds through rocky terrain.

Well worth the drive along the beautiful Golden Road to reach this gem of a gallery. Margarita Williams’ watercolours are evocative of the local landscapes and are a great example of local artistic talent. Works are priced fairly and unique to this studio/gallery.

Friendly couple of guys. Excellent customer service. Scones to die for. Fluffy and light. Brilliant view. Car park. Clean loo. Ambiance peaceful. Artwork tasteful classy and meditative. Couldn't fault it in any way. Enjoy.

We stopped by Holmasaig Gallery and were astonished by the number and variety of pictures which Margarita Williams had on display. Ranging from delicate flowers to seascapes to daunting rocks and sea birds in a wide variety of mediums, we were left to browse without pressure and can't rate the experience highly enough.

We happended upon this little gallery whilst driving around the coastal road on Harris. Margarita welcomed us into her home and told us about her inspiration for her paintings. We bought a wonderful, vibrant watercolour of a cotton grass flower, which now has pride of place in our home. A beautiful reminder of our trip to this lovely island!

We were honeymooning in the Hebrides touring in a rented VW camper. We stopped at lots of art galleries along the way. We found Margarita's house on a hill enchanting and we loved that the art was accessible due to the amount if card-prints available. We bought a lot of them and are enjoying sending people Hebridean scenes. Thank you!!
