J'ai passé des heures inoubliables
en compagnie de José, guide et responsable de l'agence, passionné de géologie. Il m'a donné beaucoup d'explications sur les minéraux, les plantes, les animaux. Il y a une empreinte de dinosaures dans le parc. Les couleurs du parc sont fascinantes. On fait du trek, de l'escalade. La randonnée a de multiples facettes et vous en avez plein les yeux. José donne de bons conseils pour l'escalade et est très prudent et attentif. A ne manquer sous aucun prétexte!

The scenery on the hike in the Cordillera Chicas was amazing - lots of stunning rock formations and cacti and lots of opportunities to learn about the landscape and the plants. Although I was not confident with the bits involving climbing up and down, the guide was very kind and helpful. We did the 7 hour hike and would highly recommend it.

We did the tour around the Tupiza area. There is a choice of 7 hours or 10 hour trek through the protected Eco-Park region around Tupiza. Both trips stop at Devil's Door.
The 7 hour tour involves easier scrambling over rocks - there are only about 3 hard areas, but no problem if you are not athletic, the guide can lift you down! If you are a small number you will probably go faster - we did the 7 hour walk in about 6 hours going at a casual speed. It was all quite easy except for the couple of hard scrambles. It is an undulating trek, never any long uphill stretches so it was an easy walk.
Lunch is included, including catering for vegetarians, and it was good. The scenery is very 'Wild West' and photographic. Departure time is flexible, we left at 1030. The cost of the 7 hour trek was 290 BOB per person.
The company is committed to sustainability - our guide picked up all the litter left along the way!
I would recommend this to others - the 7 hour option if you are not confident climbing up and down rocks, and the 10 hour option if you are more confident and want more of a challenge.

Prachtige plek, een indrukwekkende en ook avontuurlijke wandeling en José van Green Planet is een lieve en zeer goede gids. De beste manier om deze unieke natuur rond Tupiza te beleven! Ook de kinderen (7 en 10) vonden het geweldig.

This tour and hike was worth planning an extra day in Tupiza. The tour guide was clearly passionate about preservation of the local environment and sharing it with us. The canyons are awe inspiring and almost a religious experience to walk through. The hike has a few scrambles and climbs but the guide helped helping us through. It was great to have the food provided be local fruits and foods that I would not have tried otherwise. A really nice canyoning experience. We did the 7 hour hike, no horses :)

Je voyage rarement avec un guide mais si vous devez en choisir un, dirigez-vous vers Green Planet. J'ai eu le chance de partager seul une marche de quelques heures avec José qui se bat depuis des années pour protéger et faire vivre "l'Ecoparque Encontando" (qui porte si bien son nom). Si le tourisme abîme souvent l'habitat, celui-ci est humain et en conscience de son environnement.
On est tenté faire ce genre d'expérience seul mais un guide comme José rend l'expérience inoubliable. Entre science, littérature et superstition, je repars avec une livre d'histoires et de connaissances sur ce lieu magique. C'est un voyage dans le temps, des premières formations géologiques aux premiers hommes.
C'est aussi l'histoire d'un Don Quichotte
amoureux de sa région et qui se bat contre des moulins (bien réels) avides de ses ressources ou d'y couler du béton.
Alors avant de courir à Uyuni prenez le temps de vous arrêtez un jour ou deux à Tupiza et réservez une sortie avec Green Planet.
Un colibrí nous a accompagné durant notre chemin de retour. Ça doit vouloir dire quelques chose non ?

The most recommended experience in the area.
We had a vegan lunch at their restaurant, after we arranged the time to go horseback riding.
It was amazing, we rode on a tuk tuk to the starting point, then on a horse we got to the mountains, there was other people who were super friendly, an astonishing landscape and great energy.
Highly recommended

Fuimos a caballo al tour luego de almorzar vegano de primerísima calidad en su restaurante.
Super amigables, muy buena energía.
Lo recomiendo sin dudas.

We hebben een prachtige wandeling gemaakt door een beschermd gebied, met een heel enthousiaste gids. Zowel klimmen, wandelen als canyoning kwamen aan bod. Samengevat, een heel toffe dag, met lekker eten!

We did the 10h route and opten to do the first hour to the beginning of the path on horseback. We then proceded to climb 600m up to a maximum of 3550m.o.s.l, sometimes over lose rocks. An incredible view up top. Lovely packed lunch included. The way down is quite trecherous in parts and requires a lot of concentration, the 10 climbing sections definitely got our adrenaline pumping! But José always made us feel safe and taken care of. Definitely recommend, long day but so worth it, incredible scenery.

Wir haben eine sechs stündige Wanderung im Ecoparque Encantado gemacht. Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis und der Guide war super! Er kennt sich sehr gut aus und erzählte viel über die Hintergründe, Geschichte, Pflanzen und Tiere im Park. Auch das Essen war sehr lecker und typisch für Bolivien. Der Park ist noch ziemlich unbekannt - ein echter Geheimtipp.
