‪Located in a crowded place with very narrow approach roads, the vicinity will give you the feeling of Old World. The place is full cons who will try their level best to get some extra cash out of your pocket, so be careful. Though there are some helpful people as well, overall the palace is highly mismanaged and lacks proper signages for a first time visitor. This place is of great spiritual value and to a certain extent the mismanagement due to overcrowding can be considered. The over-enthusiastic member of the dargaah called the Khadims themselves block the proper sight of the tomb and they make people leave the place in haste.‬

‪In his final discourse, a month before his death, Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti said to his students:
"Never seek any help, charity, or favors from anybody except God."
In that same discourse, the first cardinal virtue of the individual self according to him was:
'refraining from begging in the state of poverty'.
If the venerable Khwaja were alive today and were he to see the state of affairs at the Ajmer Dargah Sharif, he might have something more to say.
From the parking space to the entrance to the blur of characters continually cajoling, begging and emotionally blackmailing each individual for progressively larger sums of money based on their appearance or clothes is the current reality of the place. If the management are seeing this purely from the lens of a 'necessary evil' to ensure the multiple livelihoods dependent on visitors, they are sadly mistaken.
The dargah is still regarded as one of the few places bringing people from different religions together in search of 'spirituality' and divine blessings. If this is what they encounter here, then not just people of other faiths, but even Muslims will stop coming here.
Without getting into the details of how my personal experience was (many others have described similar negative experiences), what the visit has done is convinced me never to come back here again and to ensure that I can reach as many people as possible to let them know the consequences of visiting. Commercialism and short sightedness coupled with an inactive management have ensured that the place will leave an incredibly bitter taste in your mouth. You are probably better of reading the Hazrat's teachings from the safety of your home.‬

‪Visiting Dargah Shariff after a while, made me revisit the previous times all over.
The vicinity still maintains the old world charm, with Dargah accepting you with open arms. The mental peace even with rush of people thronging, is an experience in itself.‬

‪Fear is wisdom when you overcome . But have seen how fear is becoming commercialised by fews Self pro-claimed God agents.

It all started from our hotel by luring us that we will arrange VIP access to Dargah Shareef and will arrange vehicles and one mokadim who will be with you through out Dargah shareef .we caught by this and this is what happened to us!

Tuk-tuk rickshaw came to pick up us at the hotel along with one mokadim . We have told rickshaw will take us to Darghah Shareef and drop us back to hotel at rate of 250 rupees and get VIP access too.

When we reached there the mokadim handed over to one more guy and said he will take care of us . The guy started luring and potentially looting us by convincing to donate some food to beggar and pay money for chadar and all other stuffs. Mokadim tell us not bring any money or cash as there are many pocket pickers around.

So no worries chaadar or beggar food whatever you choose we will get this settled at hotel bill . I was stumped and mumbling inside don’t fall for this .

Somehow I escaped from there , but seems I was surrounded by such people around . Then I made my mind to keep saying NO whosoever come to me in polite manner .

I was there just to embrace the beauty and calmness of such beautiful darghah but never thought I was in commercialised business center . I was just praying why this is required to make people so vulnerable at this pure place by these agents to make people empty their pockets . I don’t blame the agents it was management and committee who running these black market and looting people money who all coming for some hope and insight .

I am just praying these must be over and peaceful and people place to be in future .

Here I come the second the rickshaw drop back to our hotel as agreed . Now rickshaws wala demanding additional 150 rupees and claiming I have waited for you guys there , so there is going to be waiting charges . Again stumbed it was not just agent it all over place these buggers around .

My simple advise to people who all coming to Ajmer for Dargah Shareef . Pls don’t fall for hotel deals . Take rickshaw outside from hotel and just take a drop and while coming back take another rickshaw .

For god agents you simply ignore them by just telling NO‬

‪BEWARE !!

You will get a feeling that everyone is there to scam you .
The rush is so much , it's very uncomfortable and unsafe for ladies.
Every other minute, there is someone who tells you to keep your belongings safe. One gets a feeling you are in midst of thieves.
Starting from the parking, the route to dargah, chadar shopping, money offering in hundi, chadar offering in dargah .. everything is a scam .
There is no queue , nothing is organised , no vivid protocols , no nothing, its a clear monopoly of Muslims.
One can give it a miss . Trust me you'll thank yourselves.
It's better to visit much peaceful places like sai baba temple at ajaynagar , Soniji ka nadiyan and pushkar .
I WOULD NEVER EVER GO BACK TO DARGAH .. SUCH A SCAM OF HOPES AND BELIEVES.
I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD WRITE SOMETHING SO NEGATIVE , BUT DONT WANT OTHERS TO GO THROUGH THIS HORRIFIC ORDEAL .‬

‪Sprituality, sufiism, peace
I felt everything all together, the preferable parking at the shrine is delhi gate government parking, beware of pick pockets cover you head while going in, wear full clothes, shorts and skirts are not allowed. The ambiance is so sacred all over the dargah its once in a lifetime experience‬

‪It’s a worst place should avoid visit there 5 reason you should not visit .

1. You have to park your vehicle before 1 km the parking fee for car can go upto 300
2. From there you have to go by auto through narrow dirty lane which may cost you 300 or more .
3. You to leave your valuable somewhere it’s high chances it will get pick pocketed by the theifs
4. There were middle man over there for simple chadar and flower they may ask you 1500 to 3000 , if you don’t pay they will behave rudely
5.there is nothing such beautiful to see so avoid this place waste of time and money ‬

‪As all places of worship , this was crowded. But was so grateful to meet syed talib 9982005014. Pls contact him for a beautiful visit. He ensures that worshipers are taken care of and taken to the dargah via the right route. From a COVID perspective the place is crowded and not a lot of people are in masks. Recommended to contact syed before your visit‬

‪This dargah is the most famous dargah of India. It is believed that whatever u pray for, it gets fulfilled here. I visited this dargah recently during my Ajmer trip. The place was pretty crowded. There is a separate area where people were offering the namaz. You can't take tha car till the dargah and will have to park somewhere else before. There is a whole market surrounding the dargah.‬
