A templom részben a franciaországi lourdes-i templom másolata, a Szent József kollégiumhoz tartozik. Meglehetősen beépített környezetben van, szinte nem is lehet olyan helyet találni, amely teljes rálátást ad az épületre. Kívülről fehér és barna, belülről fehér és rózsaszín színvilágú. Az oltáron a megfeszített Jézus, fölötte Szűz Mária szobra van. Szépek a festett üveg ablakok.

町で目印になる、大きな教会です。開いていれば、中に入ることもできます（写真撮影は禁止ですが）。中はステンドグラスが美しく、清らかな雰囲気。敷地内に入って左側に（建物内ではありません）、小さな売店があり、教会らしいしおりを購入しました。

Not far from the tank at the Rock Fort is this lovely 19 century Roman Catholic Church, Our Lady of Lourdes. The structure is unusual with upper and lower towers and is quite ornate in design. The stained glass is quite magnificent.

Though I am Hindu, I believe other faiths also. Because God should be one like Water Sky Earth Fire and Air. Humans to their knowledge and convenience named them differently.
This church is an old one located near Trichy fort. The spires are the tallest of its kind in this town. The structure is built in British architecture that has several conical towers pointing to heaven.
Sunday mass is special to the devotees.

St.Lourdes Church is a landmark in Trichy opposite to the Main Guard Gate, overlooking the Rockfort.Built in 1850s with an imposing height of 200 feet by Jesuit Fathers, the St.Joseph's college and this Church are embedded in many an Indian, like Sri Abdul Kalam, who have studied in St.Joseph's college.The Jesuit Fathers like Exhrart of Clive's Hostel are remembered by many who graduated from this great Institution!

Old church and maintained well. I love to go to this church as I get a peace of mind and I felt it. Apart from religion just have a great Arctitec work.

One of the oldest churches of india(175 years) located at the heart of trichy city. Interiors are stunning with very high ceilings.
