We as a couple went on the 3D/2N Bromo & Ijen Tour - we loved it.
We booked the trip relatively spontaneous and the communication was great. We were picked up at Surabaya airport without any troubles. They were really understanding and reliable.
The first hotel was the Bromo Camp which was nice for one night. Food was good and people were really friendly.
The day started early at 2.30am with a English speaking guide and a driver. The guide was awesome. He took many pictures of us and showed us some nice spots with a lot of information about the volcano. The sunrise spot was perfect! We have never seen something so pretty, and also the crater was really interesting.
After the trip we had time to shower and eat breakfast, we were done faster and it was no problem to drive earlier to our hotel in Banyuwangi which took roughly 6h.
The hotel there was really good! It had a pool, good food with a nice view on Bali and again nice personnel.
Unfortunately, the day began at 12.30am - thus not much sleep.
The hike was quite exhausting - we are both sporty but not used to hiking or trekking. Also two days in a row getting up early with still having a Jetlag needs to be consider.
Anyways, after 1,5h of hiking up the hill we arrived, only to find out it is another 30mins to go down to the crater and see the blue flames and a shocking 2h back up. Now we think this was not true since we talked to other people which said they did not need this long. Due to the exhausting way up and an even steeper road to the crater we decided to not go down. Instead we already went to the sunrise spot we’re we Waited for an hour until the sun rose.
It was beautiful but not at all like it was at the Bromo. On the way back we passed the spot to see the Blue Lake of the volcano which was astounding and definitely made the trip worth it - even without seeing the fire.
After the walk down (1h) we drove to the hotel, showered, ate breakfast and then they brought us to the ferry. We asked before if they could arrange a driver to bring us to the hotel to Pemuteran which worked just fine.
All in all we are really happy with the trip and can recommend it :)
Thank you Denis for organizing everything for us.

My friends and I were exclusively escorted to Ijen blue fire - which was a fantastic tour. Our guide Porr was very attentive, helped taking The most beautiful pictures and told about his earlier work in The mines. Our driver Mirza was good at getting us up and Down in The most comfortable and timely manner. I Can really recommend doing this tour and it was great speaking with so many other international travellers. This company is very helpful as we also asked if they could help us with our ferry to Bali and a taxi to our next hotel. Which they did in a very helpful way. Everything went very smooth and they are very good people. At the very moment im writing this review we’re being driven to our next destination in Ubud.

We booked the Bromo & Ijen tour with Denish (it was really easy to book, we arranged everything via WhatsApp and Denish answered all our questions)
We were picked up at Probolinggo train station by our driver Ali and our tour guide Arif (who is also an ex miner at Ijen) - who both were really great - and transported to our accomodation at Bromo village.
BROMO: Our next day started quite early (2:30/3:00 am) when heading to the sunrise point. Arif took us to different viewing positions and made sure we got a great view at the sunrise and some amazing pictures on top :) afterwards we continued to Mt Bromo via jeep and walked / climbed up the vulcano, to be once more rewarded with amazing views and scenaries. Back at the hotel we had breakfast and continued to Banyuwangi.
IJEN: make sure you go to bed early as this day already starts at 0:00am. Arriving at the parking area of Mt Ijen we had coffee and tea and then started hiking up the vulcano. (It did rain when we arrived so we also bought a rain cover at the parking area) At the beginning, the path is quite flat which will soon switch to quite steep. Once you reach the top you continue down the crater to see the blue fire. The way down is quite rocky, which I personally enjoyed very much, as it felt like a real adventure. Further down it‘s time to put on your gas mask, as the sulfur fog can be quite unpleasant. But the blue fire is quite phenomenal and worth the hike, even though we couldn‘t see it for long, as the sulfur fog was really strong when we were down at the crater. After watching the blue flame we climed back up and continued to the sunrise spot, overlooking the crater lake - quite breathtaking as well. We got some great photos up there :)
After that we went back to the hotel and had breakfast. After check-out we were transported to the harbor. Arif bought ferry tickets for us and helped us find the right ferry. Arriving in Bali we were once more picked up by another driver (Samson if we remember correctly) and brought to Bali airport.
All in all a really great trip, with amazing new memories. Thank you!! We would book it again.
Special thanks to Arif for being such a great guide and always taking cool pictures of us :)

We booked the Bromo and Ijen Tour (3 days/2 nights) with the hotels included (5,500,000 IDR for 2 people). It may seem expensive locally but we wanted to make the most of it without too much hassle. We were picked up by Denish's colleague called Pendot, a very nice and smiling driver. He drove us to mount Bromo and we stayed at Bromo Permai 1 Probolinggo Hotel which is an average hotel but quite good for the area (hot water and breakfast OK!). We were picked up by a jeep driver at 3AM to see the sunset on Mount Bromo (no guide there but it is OK as we only walked a few metres to see the landscape). Then we could walk up to the crater. Impressive! Many tourists though. But one of the best thing we have done in Indonesia.
Then Pendot drove us to the Ijen area (6-7 hours), to the Mahkota Plengkung Hotel which again is average but OK, especially because you will not sleep much! At midnight we've seen Denish who was also very friendly! Pendot drove us to the bottom of Ijen Mount and we met a guide who gave us one torch light and 2 gas masks. We walked all 3 to the crater (about 1 hour 30 minutes if you walk fast). Then we went into the crater where we wore the masks; even with those, we were struggling because of the sulfur. There was a lot of smoke so we could not see much of the blue lights, but the atmosphere there was fantastic. Then we went back up to see the sunset on the blue lake and that was beautiful.
When we went back to the car, Pendot drove us down to waterfalls and explained us many things about coffee plantations and trees nearby, cloves, local fruits, etc.
After collecting our bags at the hotel, we left him at the ferry boat (only 5 minutes away from the hotel), he helped us and bought us the tickets to go to Bali.
I definitely recommend Ijen Blue Tour, especially thanks to the kindness of Pendot :)

Very nice trip with Denis and his team ! Nice driver with a good english and very beautiful spots at bromo and ijen ! By the way be carefull at Ijen cause oxygen masks are not always good, and bring your torch light because only 1 for 5 people is not enough.

Background:
We took a 3 day tour with Danesh and had a great time. We paid 6,250,000 IDR for 2 people. We arranged the tour on 3 days notice and they were responsive by email/whatsapp. It was a private tour and they provided a separate driver and guide. Accommodation and admission fees were included. Unlimited bottled water was provided. The SUV car was in excellent condition. Our pick-up was in Ubud and drop off in Surabaya. The only exclusions were lunch and dinner. We ask to only go to very local places to eat and it only costs 10-20k IDR per meal.
Coffee/rubber plantation: This was very interesting for us (We really love to visit manufacturing plants). The guide giving us the private tour had excellent English. She was able to answer every question we had, and we asked A LOT of questions. Highlights of the tour include: watching the workers sorting the coffee beans by hand. Watching latex trees drip latex into containers and the watching workers processing the rubber with machines.
Ijen Hike: We had a separate/local guide for the Ijen hike (starts at 2am) and he was also very good. He provided lots of information about the mining process, etc. Sunrise at the Ijen crater was spectacular. Note that there are lots of tourists at this attraction.
Bromo: We watch sunrise over Bromo and this was also great. We've seen a lot of spectacular sunrises all over the world, and this ranks in the top 3. The hike to the crater rim and the view into the crater was also neat.
Hotels: For both nights, we stayed in good hotels. We especially liked the hotel in Banyuwangi as it had a pool with free tea/coffee/cookies ;)
Driver: Our driver did not speak any English, but he was a very safe driver and very polite and friendly.
Guide: We had a great time with Denish. We learned a lot about Indonesian culture and he was lots of fun. The tour is well run. This Ijen/Bromo trip was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Indonesia (we also went to Bali and Flores). Thanks Denish!
Would definitely recommend Ijen Blue Tour to others.
