Nach den Inschriften heißt dieser Tempel in Wirklichkeit Ramachandra Tempel. Dieser Tempel ist dem Gott Rama geweiht, der 7. Inkarnation Vishnus. Er war einer der Zeremonial Tempel der Königsfamilie. Erbaut im frühen 15. Jahrhundert weist dieser Tempel sehr schönen Bauschmuck auf, besonders an den Außen Mauern. Elefanten, Musikanten, Soldaten und Tänzer sind im unteren Bereich der Tempelmauer zu sehen.
Auf der Seite zum Tempelhof sind Szenen aus dem Ramayana dargestellt.
Im Inneren des Gebäudes gibt es 4 besonders schöne Säulen, die im Stil der Hoysala verziert sind. Hier wurde ein weicherer Stein benutzt als der sonst übliche Granit, sodass die Figuren feiner herausgearbeitet werden konnten.
Auf der Seite zum Tempelhof sind Szenen aus dem Ramayana dargestellt.

It us a temple which is in best condition. Ramayana portrayed all along the walls in intricate carvings. The vicinity is also very beautiful. Also visit the backside. And don't forget to take a round trip around it.

Very old temple depicting beautiful stories. Nice place and must visit during the trip. Ensure you see all the pillars for their beauty work.

Hazara rama temple is a temple of Lord Ram in the royal courtyard in Hampi. There is no idol in the temple and worship is not conducted now. The temple is very beautiful, the walls of the temple have carvings depicting the entire story of ramayan. Very very beautiful temple, must visit.

Hazara Rama offers some of the most detailed temple carvings, so intricate that at times I thought it is a present-day temple! Definitely a must visit.

A huge temple dedicated to Lord Rama. Must visit in Hampi. Take a guide if interested in going through the story depicted on the walls

This is a must visit place as well, in Hampi. As the name suggests, it is dedicated to Lord Ram and hence, it has many carving depicting stories from Ramayana. The carvings are really beautiful. If you go in the evening, the temple just glows in the evening golden light

This temple has the Ramayana carved all over its walls. The scenes are well carved and easily recognizable. Well worth walking around!
