Das Lotus Mahal liegt in einem sehr schön gepflegten Garten, der von einer Mauer umgeben ist. Letztere ist zwar hoch, von der Konstruktion aber deutlich zu schmal geraten. Das Lotus Mahal selbst eist ein zweigeschossiger Pavillon, dessen Baustil vollkommen ungewöhnlich für alle Bauwerke von Hampi ist. Das will wirklich etwas heissen, denn es gibt in Hampi mehr als 1.600 historische Gebäude.
Die Architektur ist eine Mischung aus hinduistischer Architektur und indo-islamischen Stil. Leider gibt es auch zu diesem Bauwerk keine Bauinschriften, sodass der Zweck und das Entstehungsjahr im Dunklen bleiben.

It's part of Zanana enclosure. But not at par with other hampi structures. Though you can click some beautiful photos here Elephant stable is nearby.

Lotus temple is one of most beautiful piece of architecture in Hampi. It is depiction of Indo Persian architecture. The temple is in the queen's palace area of Hampi. There are terecota pipes inside the walls to control the temperature during summers. Overall nice place.

While it is shaped like a lotus, it is a small structure and they don't even allow you to step inside the structure. It is essentially an overpriced photo stop, though if you are already visiting Vittala temple, the same ticket can be used to access Zenana Enclosure to visit Lotus Mahal.

This has the influence of the moghul architecture because of the Bahamani dynasty which invaded hampi and also destroyed most of the structure. The lotus mahal is very beautiful to look at.

This is one of the most beautiful structures in Hampi. Very much photogenic. Saw few boys/girls doing a sketching of this structure while sitting on the lawns around the Mahal. There is an entry fee for this Mahal. If you visit during the evening, the evening light just glows the whole mahal making it a stunning visual.

The architecture is a mix of mughal and S.Indian. Very well ventilated. As in other places, we are not allowed to mount up the stairs. We were showed the torch rings, to light up the place. Also the tiny openings for the water to pass through, keeping the place cool in summer.

En conjunto es una bonita construcción de dos plantas, aunque está bastante restaurada sobre todo en la parte inferior

This place lotus mahal is so nicely designed we can see the historical design such a nicely made so many years back, should apricate people who build this place, it is really Royal

The lotus palace in Bangalore is just an apartment complex. This one is in hampi called lotus mahal near the queens palace.
