The collection is large and impressive. I and my daughter found the sculpture gallery particularly fascinating. However, the building, though not old, is poorly maintained. There is dampness and mold all over the place.

Very different and unique place to visit . One can go alone or with family or friends. There is no season constraint

State museum is nice place in bhopal,place is nice and beautiful,place us cleane,museum is nice and big.

This is a pretty large museum with several galleries. It is simply overwhelming to visit all the galleries in one single day. Therefore plan to spend 2-3 hours daily for 3-4 days to see all the exhibits in detail. There is a small entry fee and small fee for taking photographs. There is also a small souvenir shop on the campus.

Narmada valley civilisation is one of the oldest known to mankind & a lot of its history is still being excavated.
MP state museum exhibits some of the oldest artefacts,stone sculptures,fossils,coins & weapons that predates 20000-25000 years.
It was sad to see that it’s not maintained as it should be.
Ticket for Indian adults cost ₹20/-
Foreign adults ₹200/-
Admission to Kids under 10 years is free.

Lots of artifacts collected from the surrounding areas of Madhya Pradesh. Beautiful stone carvings of 2000+ years old. Historically significant. Collections also include paintings, stamps and weapons of the era.

An extensive and large collection of artifacts from all history. A bit dusty and shoddy inside, but they tseem to be shaping up. well woth a visit

A really nice well maintained place. I liked the collection of different colours of pebbles and archeological evidences.

State Museum of Madhya Pradesh will take you atleast 2 hours to finish sight seeing. Quite an informative museum.
