What a beautiful experience! We went to the drop in yoga, and even though the teacher was away in Nepal, his wife Deepa gave us Chai, taught us about healing the body with Ayurvedic foods and invited us back the next day for a Hatha class. We were not disappointed, the class was very traditional and super informative, Deepa is a great teacher who gives her wisdom so willingly and with love and passion! I hope to go back one day and take her class on cooking and healing with Ayurveda. Go and check it out!

Had a testing yoga session with Yogesh who pitched it at exactly the right level to push us but also make it enjoyable - you can tell he has so much experience.
We also had a cooking class with his wife Deepa, which was fantastic. She’s a lovely person and very well informed on Indian cooking. Was one of the best experiences of my trip so far and we got a delicious meal at the end too!

Yogesh is a great teacher, very knowledgeable of the reasons how some yoghi ' s excercises are more appropriate than others. Highly recommended.

I was walking through Pushkar and saw a flyer for the yoga garden and thought to go check it out, I was welcomed by Deepa who offered us chai and a nice chat yogacharya arrived and we had a conversation about what I wanted to learn and study as I have an injury we started with philosophy. It was such a clear class with so much profound information everything I had been studying for the past few years started to click. The way Yogesh explained it was simple and effortless which showed me he really understand and had realised the true science of yoga through multiple schools of thought even connecting western terms and ideas to show the link and knowledge was there. When class was over we chatted and I got to know more about his life and family was a great experience and I am looking forward to going back when I have recovered from my injury to study asana and philosophy for an extended period of time. Highly recommend checking the Pushkar Yoga Garden to anyone.

It was nice of the teacher to do the class just for me - although by 'class' I mean being told which asanas to do without any further guidance or correction. Money was promptly taken, I was also offered to use the space for free if I wanted to practice on my own. A bit of an odd experience, regular yoga practicioners may be disappointed. And yes, I'm risking an angry answer to this review...

Dear student,
You were looking for a free yoga class, as some places in India offer and you did some in Rishikesh as you told me, and I offered you only the space for free . Since I didn't want you to go back, I agreed to teach, but since you were paying for it, I guess you expected nothing less than 'enlightenment' from an hour of private session ! Yes, it's true that I didn't offer much corrections and adjustments during your practice because you were already doing the practice correctly, the only reason as I understand, of your disappointment is the money - which was promotly taken from you .... I am not angry, just amused as how people could just use the liberty of expression for their own agendas..
Hope for a better world.

I had researched this well before travelling to pushkar and maybe was expecting something else . I have many year experience in yoga and although my one to one sessions ( no other tourists joining at this time ) were refreshing I found the instructor to be disinterested, after taking my money showed no interest at all and didn’t speak with me . Too expensive and overrated I believe .

Hello dear student,
Thanks for finding your yoga sessions with me refreshing, but sorry, I was not really interested in listening to your personal and family life problems during or after the session. As you have different expectations than practising yoga, you should have gone to a family counselor. You paid less than US $15 for 2 private yoga sessions of 90 minutes each and think it's too expensive ? You should be ashamed to be writings such crap on such a reputed travel platform. You better get some sense !

My wife and i had a great experience at Yoga Garden.
My wife experienced 2 yoga classes, and it was great, we both had a ayurvedic cooking lesson, we lear a lot things, since i'm back i'm making Dal every 2 days.
The house, the whole familly, and their kindness is so amazing !
We hoe to see them again in Pushkar...

Me hospedé con Yogesh y su familia durante 5 días. Me recibieron cálidamente, ayudaron a resolver mis inconvenientes y llevaron a conocer alrededores. Las clases de yoga fueron acordes a mi nivel de principiante y Yogesh es una persona con gran experiencia en el rubro. Además, pude tomar clases de cocina con variadas recetas. El lugar es austero, y está alejado del caótico centro, por lo que se vuelve una especie derefugio. Lo recomendio para todo aquel que quiera iniciarse en la práctica y pasar unos días tranquilos en Pushkar!

El lugar no tiene nada que ver con las fotos que veo publicadas.Nada de paz, ni de espiritualidad. Lo que más se destacó fué la suciedad del ambiente, de las mats, del baño. El profesor, muy diestro en las asanas, pero cero calidad humana y de maestro. Fue más bien una clase de acrobacia con poca guía y contención. Cada uno de nosotros hizo lo que pudo y sólo nos llevamos una mordida de perro a una de nuestras compañeras y alguna foto de las piruetas de Naza. Nada recomendable y carísimo para lo que ofrece!!!!

Cours de yoga très bien fait, pratique en terrasse en pleine nature au calme.
Je recommande également le cours de cuisine avec Deepa, qui vous enseigne les principes de base de l'ayurveda et le rôle des épices dans la cuisine. Excellent !!

Yes, you could just turn up. Don't need prior registration.Beginners or advanced, all have practices adjusted according to their level in the class.
