A friend told us about this garden and we absolutely loved it. Small, compact with a well designed display of California plants. Easy to navigate with volunteer docents who are knowledgeable and exceptionally helpful. It is not to be missed.

The gardens are beautiful. Don't forget the library. Jill and Lauren are wonderful librarians. The Library has some fabulous collections with some very rare materials.

If you like botanical gardens. This is one you must see. Right in the middle of town! It is not humongous in size but the variety of flora was incredible!

and the Shop had all kinds of nice stuff!
This was my second trip to the Sherman Library and Gardens and a different season. Both visits have been good. If you want to eat lunch there be sure to put your name on the list as you come in. The line is longer in the summer.

Such a hidden gem! Loved the collection of plants and displays throughout the gardens. I was intrigued by all the beautiful pinks and purples in so many of the plant varieties.

Beautiful gardens and small enough to enjoy without needing to spend the entire day here. The restaurant was very good. Food was tasty and beautifully presented. Definitely worth visiting.

This is a beautiful place that is fairly handicapped accessible. The volunteer at the entrance was kind and took our photo. The flowers are exquisite, and the path was pretty good for a wheelchair (although I was using it like a walker while we were there). The only reason I am not rating it excellent, is that the person at the front gate would not allow us into the gift shop. The entrance at the back had steps, and I needed to use an accessible one - by the entrance. The person said they were closing in 10 minutes and would not let us in the gift shop. I understand wanting to go home on time, and we would have watched our time. However, being denied access was upsetting. I hope they work on this. I wanted to buy the cookbook written by their volunteers, but it was not meant to be.

Top to bottom, Sherman Library & Gardens delivered for our wedding. Fantastic service, great food, helpful with set-up and breakdown. One of the prettiest locations in Southern California. Feels very private and removed from the hubbub.

Very beautiful gardens, and only a $5 admission fee. Free parking on the street and in their parking lot. We stayed about an hour, which included a stroll through the nice gift shop. The gardens are nicely separated into "rooms" per say, which is done extremely well. We plan to visit again in the future.

great photo op for couples and family. beautiful and inspiring. take your time and spell the flowers and the herbs. scenes change so come back.

The grounds are not overly large to begin with, so a popular event would probably be crowd limited. Call ahead is my advice.
Another local attraction at that time of year is Roger's Gardens, a nearby nursery which goes all out during the holidays and is very popular.
