‪Family friendly summer visit‬

‪Beautiful place to hangout with some picnic food. Creek is coolest area, picnic area also cooler. The guide was very nice about redirecting us from the hotter olive grove area.

Beautiful amaranth garden.

Very kid friendly. Lawn for the kids to play on, lots of other families enjoying the farm/garden/creek scenery‬

‪Excellent wines and tasting ‬

‪We had a informative and delightful tasting with Michael as our wine docent. We sat outside under a tent on a beautiful sunny day and had the place virtually to ourselves, except for a photo shoot taking place. We tasted several Pinot noirs, Zinfandels, and petite sirahs. Superb choices and great diversity of palatte choices. ‬

‪Great Budget-Friendly Sonoma Option‬

‪My group was looking for a place in the middle of a day that included several wine tastings, that would allow us to save some money, bring in our food, and slow down on the wine. This was the perfect location! We reserved a picnic table for $25 and bought a bottle of wine for $27. Our group was able to spend two hours eating our packed lunches in the shaded picnic table area. This was much cheaper than other stops, which were often $35 a person. Additionally, not many wineries will let you bring in your own food and it's hard to find a restaurant among all the wineries (you pretty much have to go back to one of the towns), so this was perfect. We got to enjoy the beautiful scenery at the vinyard and took lots of pictures (gardens to walk through, goats and chickens to feed, a creek to walk by). This winery is also child friendly, as there were many families at picnic tables enjoying wine and letting the kids run around feeding the goats. Great if you are looking for a family friendly or budget option while in Sonoma!‬

‪Well rounded experience!‬

‪The hosts and servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved tasting and learning about their different wines. Their land runs along the creek and is a beautiful place to enjoy wine. Chickens and ability to pet/feed goats was an awesome way for kids (and adults) to spend their afternoon.‬

‪We came here for a tasting because we were familiar with their wines and find them very good. We were not disappointed. Several of the wines were outstanding.‬

‪Highly enjoyable dry creek winery‬

‪Joe did a fantastic job hosting us and our friends! Specifically, he focused on our needs and shipping destinations to make it work. Going above and beyond is something rare in the Sonoma and Napa regions! Made our visit spectacular! If you want to try something special, I would recommend the white and black sheep pinot, Southdown zin, and their new Syrah.‬

‪Such a fun experience! The winemaker was there and it was such a hoot chatting with him! Just bummed they didn’t have the trucker hats in stock we wanted to buy ;) Fun little place to roam around, and the wine was good too!‬

‪Every trip out from Alabama we always include Truett Hurst in our visits. Everyone is so welcoming and the pours are very generous as well. We had our lunch there today by the river and for a southerner I must say the weather is unbelievable. No humidity! What a gift! I did read the previous post and I think it was the kids probably acting up.....we’ve never had a unhappy experience here, ever. The age I am now, I don’t care to see or hear kids in an adult environment and wine tasting is adult for me. Take your kids to Disneyland. IMO.‬

‪Not welcoming at all - horrible experience‬

‪We had been assured this was a family friendly winery, but from the moment we arrived, we felt very unwelcome. We aren't sure if this had to do with the color of my husband's skin (this was our immediate gut feeling) or the fact that we had two children with us (8 and 11) or both. Either way, we should have just left, but we stayed for the tasting. The woman was so busy giving us all the rules of the property that she didn't even get around to describing most of the wines she poured. We watched her interact with other guests and she was much more engaged and friendly/warm with them. It was definitely us she wasn't interested in serving. The owner was pointed out to us, but the woman was busy setting up for an event while her little dog ran around off-leash (one of the many rules that was told to us - even though we didn't even have a dog) and didn't have any interest in engaging with any guests or greeting them, thanking them for coming, or even simply smiling or making eye contact. So it wasn't surprising that the employees weren't happy to serve whoever came through the door. It pained me to pay for this horrible experience. It did allow for a good conversation with our children about racism and poor customer service.‬

‪Beautiful and relaxing winery‬

‪This is definitely one of my favorite wineries in Sonoma County. The pourers are very friendly and have a great sense of humor. The property is just GORGEOUS! I love everything about it from the farm animals to the garden to the adirondock chairs along the creek. I love how the property is so large that it never feels crowded there. It is so relaxing to go there, buy a bottle and have a picnic. I've gone there with my friends or family. As a wine club member, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pick up parties. Truett Hurst really knows how to take care of their members. And, of course the wine is all really tasty. Overall just a joyous experience. I took a group of friends from out of state there and they were thanking me for taking them there.‬
