Brilliant unique experience- would thoroughly recommend. We had a great few hours doing proper hands on gold panning with great explanation on the techniques and how to have the best possible chance of success. We found real gold too - albeit in small flakes)

The family and I (wife and two kids aged 9 and 7) spent a few hours dry slussing and panning for gold. It was a REALLY hot day and because of the drought the river was bone dry, but that didn’t stop the fun. Our sons are really into rocks and gold panning was top on their list of things they wanted to do. Nick and his Dad were great and had it all set up for us and taught us how to dry sluss and pan for gold. They even had some cold water and sodas for us to drink which was nice. We got a few small little nuggets and flakes and that was just enough to make it worth it for the boys. Plan to get dirty, but to us that’s half the fun! If you’re staying in the area (we were in Pine Mountain) this is a great little activity to do and is priced fairly. If we ever return to the area, we would for sure do it again (hopefully when the river is flowing again).

My boyfriend and I thought we’d try something new. After watching numerous shows on gold mining we thought we’d try it! The son’s owner Nate was very helpful and knowledgeable about the process! It was quite cold out and it even snowed on me a little, but it was fun! We spent 2 hours at the creek and got gold! Highly recommended!!

Best fun on a hot day! Expect to work hard, shovel and shake gravel, get wet, lift 5 gallon buckets and pan out your material. We appreciated Nick's sharp eye and expertise in teaching us where to look for gold, showing us how to use the equipment to move high volume of material and encouraging us to work as a team. We found some nice pieces of gold (not flakes) for our group of 3, enough to shake in 2 vials and hear a faint sound of gold rattle around. Highly recommend signing up with this organization, as Nick is passionate about the business of gold and more importantly, he was passionate about helping us and others find gold. We lost one of the two vials of gold while crossing the creek. Luckily and miraculously Nick found the vial a week later and was kind enough to ship it to us. We will definitely return for another day or more of prospecting, as we got bite by the Gold Bug!

Awesome family activity, 2 kids and grandmother, all had a fantastic time! Super fun for everyone to find gold! Go for about 2 hours. Bring water shoes or socks for boots they offer on site.

Great time good location with great tree cover and cool water. Great small claim to try out. I reccomend it to anyone, from the seasoned prospector, to a uninitiated family with kids. You cant go wrong digging in the dirt and putting in a effort to get the good stuff!

Nothing is ever perfect but man we hab a great time, kids loved it and so did i. We found gold and we where happy with the day, thank ya'll for a great experience

My brother and I booked 2 hours of digging and panning in the local creek. Nick shared lots of information, showed us how to use the tools, we shoveled some sand and rocks and at the end we did found some gold at the bottom of the pan. Great experience!

There was some hard work involved but was a great experience! Bucket list excursion! Nick and his father were knowledgeable and friendly and in the end we found some gold!
