We had a 3D2N stay in this sleepy town although many others had merely a day trip. The hotel staff have been properly trained and provided excellent service quality throughout our stay. The room was well upkept, and even we booked a smaller sized room, it is actually enough for 3-4 pax, with extra futon in the closet.
The food variety at buffet breakfast and dinner was splendid, and guests were spoilt for choice. Unfortunately the dispenser for plain water was spoilt and we were unable to drink some plain water, amidst all the sweetened drinks and caffeine.
We stayed at the West building which was located above the Great Bath (大浴场) which is rather convenient, but could be a little walking distance from the dining hall. The escalator leading from lobby to west building was damaged since 5th Oct and could be a slight challenge for those who need help with heavy luggage or walking, although there is a fire lift next to it, but with limited capacity.
The restaurant on level 5 is a must-try at affordable prices, with service that make you feel like a king (or queen)! Must book early for dinner reservation to avoid disappointment.
Our check out was a little dismal, as we had booked a taxi to bring us and our heavy luggage to JR station to make our way to Hakodate. The desk staff had overlooked our booking and we had to rebook our transport! As our train was scheduled to depart at 1058hrs, we nervously looked at our watches while waiting for our taxi to arrive. Alas, no taxis came even at 1025hrs, but a staff dressed in blazer, name 深田，volunteered to drive us personally to the station and we made it to the station in time!
All in all, the hotel is highly recommended for people who wish to take it slow and relax, with onsen readily available and the walk to the nearby Hell’s Valley.

Daiichi Tokimoto Day Spa. I paid Y2,250 which has unlimited access until 4pm i.e. I went back into the Grand Bath after lunch.
Here is the layout. After you enter from the entrance, you need to remove your shoes. There is a complimentary cold tea station. You can purchase the tea leaves from the souvenir shop. This area has many lockers for you to keep your belongings.
There is also a toilet here.
Next, walk through the automated door. There is a pool of water on the right for you to acclimatize before soaking.
Here is the washing up area to clean your hair and body before you soak in the onsen.
Next are the various pools in the female section.
Pool 1 - water sprouts out to beat your shoulder muscles - indoor
Pool 2 - Bath where you lie down to relax and circulate - indoor.
Pool 3 - Steam room with a cold water bath for the leg - indoor
Pool 4 - Jacuzzi pool - indoor
Pool 5 - Cold water pool- indoor
Pool 6 - sauna- indoor
Pool 7 - Outdoor pool
Pool 8 - Salt water pool- semi covered outdoor pool
Pool 9 - Sulphur pool - semi-covered outdoor pool
Pool 10 - Founders pool - semi-covered outdoor pool
Pool 11 - Saltwater pool - indoor
Pool 12 - Alum water pool - indoor
Pool 13 - Sulphur pool - indoor
Pool 14 - Very hot sulphur water pool - indoor
There are many clocks in the indoor pool, wash-up and outdoor pool areas.
When you are finished, return the access card to the Grand Spa by dropping it into the boxes outside.

登別温泉の地獄谷に最も近いところにある老舗旅館。日帰り入浴で利用させていただきました。大浴場は、登別地獄谷を真正面にのぞむ場所にあり、圧巻の眺めです。5つの泉質が違う浴槽があり、好みの浴槽に入浴できます。露天風呂も素晴らしい。特に金蔵の湯と露天風呂の硫黄泉はよかった。入浴料は2250円。

The onsen is amazing! There are multiple baths, each clearly marked, with different types of mineral content in the water. And they supply towels at the onsen, something I did not encounter at any of the other hotels I stayed at in Hokkaido.

We went as family of 6 with wheelchair. Took the accessible room that fits us all. 4 on futon and 2 on bed. It's a definite accessible room for wheelchair in room, toilet, bath and door. It's the best. Room is new. No issue to go around the large establishment. Wheelchair prepared for the bath area too. Could wheel to grand area and still need to step out to go into the onsen area. Very much appreciated as the area is big and walking on wet floor is not easy. Yukata for many type of sizes incl children is so much appreciated. There is a pool and slide at the basement of the onsen. This is separate entrance for male and female but in the swimming pool it's together. Outside the pool it's a jacuzzi.. Great for couple.. Buffet quality is excellent. Best we had...

I stayed in the south wing. My room was super spacious, beautiful lightning and beautiful modern interior. I feel like the pictures dont make justice to the interior design of the rooms.
The bed was extremely comfortable.
All facilities at the hotel are spotless clean.
The onsen is unbelievable, they had plenty different baths both inside and outside.
The staff will go above and beyond to accommodate to all your wishes and make your stay as pleasant as possible.
A special thank you to the kind concierge who made checkin -checkout smooth and to the team at the karaoke bar who made our evening memorable!
Would definitely recommend anyone who are planning a trip to Noborebitsu to stay at this hotel.
Also, dinner and breakfast were delicious with a vide variety of dishes.

I stayed in this onset hotel for one night in December 2022.
the weather was absolutely freezing outside, but inside the hotel and our traditional Japanese room - it was very very warm.
we arrived rather late, so they sent us to have the buffet dinner immediately.
the food was great, with lots of different choices (Japanese, Asian, or Western), and the hall was very big.
it was my first experience of an onsen - it was a great experience! there were many different onset pools, with varying sizes & temperatures. some were indoors, and others were outdoors.
we slept very well in the hotel room, and the breakfast buffet was similarly grand in choices and quality. we were very full and satisfied after our one night stay and would love to return one day!

地獄谷から歩いてすぐの場所にあります。
私達は、日帰り入浴目的で訪問しました。
日帰り入浴+食事券1,000円分で2,500円のセット券を購入して入場しました。
お風呂は想像以上に広く、露天風呂からは地獄谷の遠景も見えました。
のんびりとお湯につかれて、お風呂後も食事が出来る点が良かったです。
私達は、日帰り入浴目的で訪問しました。

this hotel is ridiculous. worst service I have seen in Japan. i'm here right now. no matter what temperature I set, the air con can only be either on or off and it will not stop at the set temperature. it shows the room temp is 31 degree!! the room gets so hot. the only guy available is 片XYZ. his English is so limited. thru translator he said in winter the air con only has warm air out and cannot be adjuested. it is just how it works and not faulty. all the rooms are the same. he refused to offer any help. asked me to turn off the air con and if gets too cold just ask for extra blanket. it is minus 4 degree outside!! when I asked him 'can U set Ur ac in your house at 18 degree' and he said yes. so why cant this hotel do it? worse, he opened the windows to cool the room down, after my half hour convo with him, the whole room smells like rotten egg. it is an onsen area full of sulphur. how can someone has no common sense and knowledge about the area works in a hotel like yhis. what I need is a hotel offers a comfortable room. that should be the bottom line of any hotel, let alone this one so called the best in town.
also there is an alarm hidden in the wardrobe ringing at 6am in the morning. the humidifier water tank doesn't get refilled. very unhappy. going to complain all the way up. this is not a japanses service. so disapointed. where is おもてなし)? what a shame!

第一竜本温泉酒店，是登別温泉地區歷史悠久的酒店，酒店內的温泉區可以同水上樂園差不多，有室內外區域和温泉泳池，不過這裡太多小童和大人到不守規則，跑來跑去用毛巾在温泉洗毛巾，大聲講大聲笑，不能好好休息。

Is JPY2000 the only cost we need to pay to enjoy the onsen ? do we have to hire the tower from them ?
Does it have a separate area / room for woman only ?
Does it suitable for kids ?

-It is 2000yen per adult and 1000yen per child over 3yrs old.
-The price includes towel loan.
-It is completely separate for males and females since bathing is in the nude. But there is also a swimming pool area where it is mixed and you have to wear bathing suits.
-Yes it is suitable for kids, but you are responsible for their supervision in the pools.
