Call to reserve a tour time and you will learn about the early history of the Saddleback Valley.
Also, simply strolling through the paths of Heritage Hill and the well kep grounds makes for a very relaxing walk. The property is beautiful quiet and peaceful.

A wonderful hidden gem. A great place to walk and take in the history of old Orange County. I'll be writing a travel column on it for Beyer's Byways, part of the USA Network, in the month of November.

Holiday events, especially at Christmas time, are wonderful at the park. Lots of candles at night, music, singers and persons dressed in period outfits. Very cool! Kids activities and crafts abound. Wonderful time! Excellent value!!! Shade and picnic areas in the daytime.

Hidden away behind a parking lot in a strip mall, this place is wonderful. Full or historic buildings and even a museum with priceless documents that you can read. Several times a year they have a main function here and they are always fun.

We chose this for our visit.
Small museum with almost everything you could expect.
I wish we could go inside of the church or school but all doors were closed expect ones you could pick inside.
Church and school have been moved from Toledo great idea to preserve local gems.

This is a nice little place where you can learn a bit of O.C. history. Plenty of parking outside and it is free.

Fun to see this place decorated for Christmas. Interesting how people celebrated the holidays in what were pioneer days.

It's a great park to visit. The old school and church are great and walking through the adobe was interesting. The grounds are beautiful and when they do the Christmas event, they really decorate the place to the nines. Well worth the effort to go see it.

Great little museum and site. Hidden behind a shopping center, it's not super easy to find, but it is worth a visit. Great history of Orange County.

I had been so impressed that when I retired I became a docent. I love being a School Marm, and doing the Native American tours, as well as Hands On. The Native American tour is excellent for 3rd grade, as it meets the standards for Social Studies in that grade. I recommend this as a field trip for 4th grades, too, especially Living History, which is school as it was taught in 1891. The adobe was build in 1865, or around that time..not sure I remember accurately. The church was from 1890, and the Bennett house is from 1906, or around that time. Everyone should go see this place, if you have not.
