We went for a tour ($5 ea) and had such a great half hour with our guide, a woman who LOVES orchids. She was so friendly and enthusiastically shared all sorts of information about the plants in this site. Orchids can be purchased here but sadly we passed because we have to cross international borders.

If you like Orchids-this is a wonderful place. So many orchids to enjoy and other plants as well. When we were there they had rows of Venus fly traps. Very nice visit and good customer service. Prices are very reasonable as well

We had stopped here two years earlier, just to see what it was, but didn't have time for a tour. This time we planned for it. Our guide, Michaela, took us through the greenhouse, explained how the process works, answered questions about the cooling system, talked about the various types of orchids as well as other plants there, such as a pitcher plant, an unusual cactus (not for sale), and a vanilla (where the flavor comes from).
There is a show room filled with orchids and Venus Fly Traps and most of the plants in the green houses are also for sale. Tours are on the half hour (at least on the day that we visited). They will warm you, on the tour, that they won't go back if you decide later you wanted one you saw earlier on the tour, so grab it when you can (or take the next tour). Also be warned, they are all so beautiful and interesting, you will want one of each. We bought three.

If you are in the area, I recommend stopping in and taking the short, yet very informative tour. They have a few different varieties of orchids than what we usually see. They also grow a couple of different varieties of Venus fly traps.

We stopped for only a few minutes. I’m not good with plants and was afraid I’d kill an orchid had I bought one. The showroom was filled with Venice Fly Traps which grow in a similar climate. They offered tours of the green houses but it would have taken an hour and we wanted to move on. The orchids we saw were beautiful. If you love orchids and have the time, stop by.

Who would have thought one would find an Orchid greenhouse in the desert? we did and it was amazing. and the orchids were beautiful, the people extremely nice and helpful. Not only can you tour the greenhouses but you can purchase orchids and the nice people will ship them for you and all for a very reasonable cost. A must place to visit when visiting the Twentynine Palms area.

Visited this grand Orchid facility. We're greeted upon arrival and a nice lady showed us differen parts of the facility
Orchids being grown in the High Desert with high temperatures and snow.
What a great adventure we had to see some of the worlds orchids and some that smell great. What a find in the back area.
Yes you can buy there if you wish. Friendly and nice. Worth you time to stop and see.

Great place if you're looking for orchids. Love the ones that smell like chocolate. Able to buy directly from them.

A wonderful tour of the orchid farm is available year round. Orchids and pots for sale. The annual Gubler Orchid Festival is always held the first weekend in October. Food, wine and cheese tasting, music and a variety of non-profits on exhibit. All proceeds benefit the nonprofits. A wonderful way to spend your weekend. We still have orchid plants we bought there more than five years ago. We buy a new one each year. We shop for our orchid fertilizer and miscellaneous on a regular basis.

I am not a gardener however my wife is so we visiting the orchid farm. The brochure says they have tours every 1/2 hour however we walked in and the first person (Isabelle) greeted us and led us on a private tour. She was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour through the greenhouses. It was very busy as they were gearing up for Easter. Thousands and thousands of orchid plants in various stages of growth and dozens of varieties. I thought this would be a ten minute walkthrough. It turned into an extremely interesting hour. They have a shop where you can buy books/local pottery and of course, orchids. If they are really busy, the office is locked up and you have to go around the back where they are working. Don't be alarmed if the visitors parking lot is empty (confused us briefly), drive to the other lot behind the greenhouse. There is no cost for the tour, however we tipped our guide.
