‪Fantastic “Zoofari” tour! We had a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who provided opportunities to get up close to the animals.‬

‪Wonderful family expereince‬

‪Last night we attended the flashlight safari and it was such an enjoyable, educational, and fun experience. My 7-year-old had a blast and the adults did too! We've been before during the day, so it was great to see some of the nocturnal animals. When we arrived, they even had a hot chocolate and decaf coffee bar ready for us.‬

‪This center is in the middle of a residential area in a mid to lower income community with easy access off the freeway. They have several enclosures and you can get up close to some of the animals and reptiles. It appears to be a house that was tweaked to serve as a "Welcome Center/Gift Shop". If you just walk through it feels like a mini zoo experience. If you book an"animal encounter" or private tour then you learn some interesting facts and get to feed certain animals or pet them as the website describes. We called since we were running late and told them that we would arrive about 15 min. late. When we arrived it was apparent that the guide was irritated. And we were the only ones in the entire place! Her attitude was less than amiable and this really spoiled the experience for us at least at the beginning. We paid about $500 for all this since they even charge for babes in arms so I expected more. Also, beware of not getting what you paid for when you booked! We had to remind the receptionist after the tour ended that we did not get to do one of our encounters. The guide said she forgot and was apologetic and then took us back to do it.‬

‪A Must See for Those Who Love Animals and Zoos‬

‪It's a tiny zoo, but a great experience for a very low cost. (General admission is around $16/adult). I was there around 2 PM and got to see some of the animals getting fed which added to the experience. A must see for those who love animals and zoos.‬

‪BEST experience ever‬

‪Solid 5 stars for this place. If I could give more stars I would.

I am not going to lie, I was attracted to this place because where else can you interact with one of natures most awesome animals - The SLOTH!

I ended up getting the Zoofari Tour, which is, I believe the most bang for your buck. It was an hour and a half tour, filled with facts and interaction with so many cuties!

We were met by our very own amazing Biologist, Danielle. She was absolutely fantastic to us. Really gave us so much insight to the behaviors and so many facts about all the animals we were able to interact with. It was so heart warming to see how much she TRULY loves EVERY SINGLE animal there. Knowing each one by name and believe it or not when they hear her voice or felt her presence, they were so happy to see her!

Here are the interactions that came with the tour:

- Serval Cats: We got to go into the enclosure where we saw 3 serval cats in very close proximity. Danielle fed one of them while we were able to get super close and hear amazing facts about them.

- Porcupines: I have to say, I have never thought that I would fall in love with porcupines, but they definitely stole my heart. We were able to feed them some lettuce and learn some fun facts about them. We definitely didn't get to touch them, but we got a lot of picture ops as well.

- Tawny Owl: This little diva was amazing. We got to hold it and admire how beautiful and absolutely light these creatures are. I call her a diva because she literally would turn her head every time we would try and snap a picture, but we are picture-a-holics so we got some good shots. Our eyes locked a few times and I felt like she was looking into my soul.

- Fennec Fox: these little cuties with the pointed ears are smaller than I expected! And very vocal! The sound that comes out of them is crazy hehe... We got to pet and of course learn more great facts about them.

- Sloth: With the anticipation built up we got to meet Sid the Sloth!!! We didn't know what to expect... As Danielle opened the door, he literally was right there hanging, just happily while we ducked right under him to get in the room. We got to pet him, hear about how much of a character he is and feed him some carrots. We went to Costa Rica to see some sloths in their natural habitat, but this was something that we would have never imagined. At the end of our tour, their other sloth Lola, was just getting back from a birthday party :) so we were lucky enough to get a glimpse of her as well.

- Monkeys: We got to see Danielle interact with Kingston the monkey. Literally made me so happy to see how much he loves her and we could hear him laughing as she swung him around with her arms. One of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

- Reptiles, insects and rodents: From touching a snake, to holding a huge Madagascar cockroach, feeling a chinchilla.... Our experience came to an end.

This is an experience that I definitely recommend. I would do it over and over and over again... And am planning to come back soon to bring my cousin to experience the same tour.

Thank you Wildlife Learning Center for such an amazing experience and Danielle for being so informative and one of the best if not the only legit Biologist we know. :)‬

‪Best animal experience in LA‬

‪The Wildlife Learning Center is a haven in the middle of the SF Valley. Who would of thought. It is beautifully landscaped and the animals are all rescues living in beautifully maintained areas. We had a great and knowledgeable guide (a biology graduate) who told us about each and every animal and how they were brought to this sanctuary. You also have the opportunity for a one on one with several of the animals. It cost a little more, but is well worth it.
I understand they suffered greatly during the Pandemic with a lack of personnel and resources, but are back on track to delight all ages young and old.
This experience should not be missed by anyone living in LA or visiting. We need lots more like it! Thank you for the great job you do in educating and helping so many animals right in our backyard.‬

‪Fun with Jack The Giraffe!!‬

‪This is such a wonderful place for adults and especially children!!

The staff is so helpful and knowledgable, and really enjoy their jobs and teaching people about the animals.

I recommend it to everyone. I would definitely go back again.

Make sure you get to feed Jack the Giraffe!!‬

‪Great for toddlers‬

‪We had 5 toddlers and families and this place was perfect. They could all safely run around and check out the animals. All the people who work here are so kind and loving as well.‬

‪Interactive, Educational, Caring and Fun Tour!‬

‪Wendy was our guide for our visit, and she was wonderful. So knowledgeable, well-paced (never felt rushed), got to interact and feed some of the animals, and enjoyed learning about the backgrounds of those who now inhabit the Wildlife Learning Center. The care and attention that the Center provides for the well-being of the animals is top notch. It is a learning facility, and honors their mission. Don't think this is a 'kid only' adventure, b/c it is for everyone. I will now be a forever supporter of this organization!‬
