‪Our family of 3 (including a 19-year old) had a fantastic experience with the company, and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to find sea otters and harbor seals in their natural environment. Our experience exceeded our expectations, and our guide, AK, was an asset to our trip. She was very knowledgeable about the slough, and the wildlife we encountered. I literally have no complaints and could not have asked for anything more. i actually wanted to go back the next day and do it again! ‬

‪Friendly, helpful people and good gear. Really appreciate their emphasis on respecting the wildlife. The wildlife here is brilliant and amazing. We enjoyed a perfect, happy 3.5 hours on the water. Thank you.‬

‪A lot of fun ‬

‪I've lived in the Bay Area forever but this was my first time kayaking at Elkhorn Slough. It was a lot of fun. We saw a lot of wildlife including tons of sea otters and pelicans, as well as lots of seals and other birds. Francisco is an excellent guide. He shared lots of interesting information. ‬

‪Amazing‬

‪I did the Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour last week with my kids (13 & 16). We had an exceptional day with loads of wildlife activity. Jake was a very informative tour guide. I enjoyed it so much that I book a We Paddle You Photo tour for a few days later. (It was hard to take any pictures on the wildlife tour.)

My "We Paddle" private tour was fantastic! Again, I was fortunate to have an active wildlife day, and my guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and pointed out various sightings to me. I learned so much on both paddles and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Elkhorn Slough in the morning fog.

Kayak Connection is really busy on Saturday mornings, so if you can do a weekday morning, I recommend that.‬

‪Once in a lifetime!‬

‪There was not one bad thing about this trip! It was the most fun I have had in, I don’t even know how long! Our guide, Jake, was SO informative! There was not one question that he didn’t have an answer to! It was during an eclipse and could not have had better conditions to see the bioluminescence spectacular show! Jake was also so patient with us! Two people in our party started fighting over who was going to be in charge of the 2-man kayak and Jake quickly diffused the situation before anyone got tossed overboard! The whole experience was an A+++ and if I could give even MORE stars to Jake personally, I wouldn’t hesitate! Don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime experience!!‬

‪Amazing close-up view of aquatic life‬

‪We saw seals, sea otters, a star fish, anemones, tiny jellies, lots of birds (including great blue herons and egrets), and more. Our tour guide, Francisco, was extremely knowledgeable -- told us a lot of interesting information and pointed out many things I wouldn't have otherwise noticed. Being out on the water was great (especially because we had a lovely weather day) and I enjoyed paddling. Some things to note: (1) This is slow paddling. Not exercise at all -- you're looking for wildlife. Also, you can only go as fast as the slowest kayaker in your group. (2) Although sea otters and seals sometimes pop up close to the kayaks, you're not allowed to try to paddle too close to them so as not to scare/disturb them. (3) You definitely want to have a waterproof case/bag for your phone/camera. Even though the company provides splash guards that cover from your waist down, things tend to get a bit wet, especially if you're pulling out your phone to take photos. (4) There are port-o-potties in the outdoor lot next to the office. FYI, there's a tasty seafood restaurant a couple of lots down called Sea Harvest, from which you can sit on a deck overlooking the slough. ‬

‪Great place to kayak‬

‪Great place to kayak! a lot of wild life especially the cutest otters - they are everywhere. Really easy and safe, can go in any season.‬

‪From ages 6-77 we had a wonderful time! We started with clean, well kept up equipment. Following that the owner, Dave, gave us a great how-to and safety talk. The people working there were kind and helpful getting all 12 of us into the kayaks and out on the water. We saw so many harbor seals, sea otters, and shore birds. As we paddled up Elkhorn Slough pelicans soared over the water and playful seals swam around our kayaks. If you can, plan to go when the tide is going out. This makes the paddle up a little more difficult but the paddle back in easy.‬

‪Kayaking Elkhorn Slough‬

‪We got a guided tour kayaking Elkhorn Slough. The best part though was the sea life. There were so many sea otters. We went with a 11 and 5 year old. They had a blast. And it was really inexpensive. Definitely recommend.‬
