Crowded, full of trash. This is obviously a trail for people who don't really hike or enjoy nature all that much.

Really enjoyed our walk to the falls today. Not really hard work, a free rivers to cross with a beautiful waterfall at the end. Peaceful and not hard. Definitely recommended!

Eaton Canyon is really close to DT Pasadena. Really pretty hike, but know that the last 1/2 mile to get to the waterfall is a bit challenging with multiple creek crossings. Water was ankle deep when we were there, so not a big deal if you don’t mind getting wet feet if you slip on a rock.

パサディナの街からちょっといくだけで、りっぱな自然があるのを知りませんでした。ちょっとしたピクニックや、トレッキングなどが楽しめるので、便利で、いい場所だと思います。

Family fun hiking trail. We went hiking with 4 children and they had so much fun. I would like to go at least twice a week.

This is a very pretty hike but the most wildlife you will are humans, the birds are lovely but scared off by noise, why do you need to walk with music on a speaker?? The waterfall is pretty and it’s an easy hike.

Great place to bring the kids with a nice waterfall at the end of the trail. You will not experience solitude on this pleasant hike through Eaton Canyon. Expect lots of people. Kind of like going to Yosemite Valley on a summer day. You will see lots of dogs on the trail as well. The trail crosses the creek a few times, and after a recent rain the creek can become really swollen and dangerous. However, it is usually shallow and you won't even get your feet wet.

Be sure to wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. I was so much fun. There is a bit of climbing to do but not difficult. Good place for the whole family to hike and enjoy nature!!

Beautiful place. Parking lot was full but we waited a few minutes and were able to get a parking once somebody left. It was definitely a pleasant experience. Easy hike. I did get my shoes wet because I lost my balance while walking on the rocks but it was fun!

We're so lucky to have so many mountains around the city with only a short drive to get there. It's summer time so the small waterfall doesn't have any flow of water right now. We hiked for four miles on an easy to moderate trail right before sunset. We found a small black tarantula on the way back just relaxing on the trail.

Yes, there are few campsites in Altadena. Check out the Henniger flats and Idlehour campground.

Hi we just went after the rains. Your feet will be drenched and sometimes the water was knee high during at least half a dozen creek crossings
How many miles from the parking area to the falls?

I never measured the distance, but knew it was a lot of uphill and took 45 min or more.

The first 30 minutes from parking lot are flat. I think there is a falls if you stay on the flat part. The climb to top is probably too much.

No... that might be the Visitor's Center and parking lot. There are several access points to the trails that are always open. One is at Midwick and Altadena Drive another is off Cresent.

Hello, I heard that there is a police practice shooting range on the other side of the hill... did anyone hear gunshots? I would not like that. Thanks for your reply

Pasadena PD does have a gun range in Eaton Canyon, we have never heard gun shots but that is timing I'm sure. It's a great hike even with a child on your back.

It is often very hot in this area in September. Be aware of temp. forecast!
Is there a bike rack where I can safely lock my bike and get it after my hike?

I'm not aware of any bike racks, but you could call the Eaton Canyon Nature Center and ask them.
