This is a great place for a hockey game. The San Jose Sharks call this place home and it's always enjoyable to catch a game here. The stadium is easily accessible from the freeway and the entrance and exit is really good. The overall stadium has a great feel to it from the food to the seating. Most things are easy to find and the view from the seats are decent even on the second level. The only knock I found was the seats tend to be close together in the second level so unfortunately with people coming and going it can get a little annoying. But other than that it's a great pro hockey experience.

Parking was a mess and they didn't tell us it would take 2 hours to get into the venue!!! We stood in line for 2 hours and missed the whole first act and part of the second act. I will never go to SAP again.

Good enough, except for leaving after show, hard to find how to get back on Highway 880 to oakland

Our first experience at Sap Center. Seeing Andrea Bocelli after waiting for 2/ and half years was worth it. We did have a hard time finding the place. luckily we were early. Parking was easy although it was $25.00. Then as we walked toward the door, some woman said, OH your purse is too big. it had to be a small size? so back to the car to find where I will put all my stuff. was not easy. Finally get inside and find our seats. They were up pretty high, Not easy walking. We dealt with, got a few photos, not real good but worth it. His voice SO AMAZING, "Time to say goodbye, OUTSTANDING!!!

Concert hasn’t started but this is logistically the worst event venue I have ever been to. Inadequate parking, therefore traffic was horrendous and we had to find street parking far away. They don’t tell you that purses aren’t allowed so you have to either wait in line and pay for their storage or run back to your car that is a mile away lat minute. Not impressed.
I’m sure Andrea Bocelli will be lovely though.

Attend multiple hockey games per season, and after more than 25 years, the "Shark Tank" is getting a little dated. As for game day, their policies and entrance procedures could use an overhaul. It's not very patron friendly or efficient. The seats could use an upgrade as the padding in some (most?) is breaking down. Bathrooms are adequate, and food options are pretty good as far as arenas go.

This is a great location to watch hockey. We had seats in the lower bowl with great sight lines down the ice. Easy to follow the puck and fun to watch the players as they worked hard on the ice. Lucky to have aisle seats so it was easy to get out to the restroom and concessions. Certainly recommend.

Great arena to catch a game with family. Beautiful palm trees outside and inside is very modernized, clean bathroom and good arena food. We enjoyed our first Sharks game very much and will definitely be back soon

Disney on ice show!! Great place to see the show. Met the Ice tech personnel and was able to see some back stage inner workings!! Great place to see games and DOI!!

Amazing venuew for a music concert.
Is is small enough to don't be that far from stage even if you don't have the best seats.
Quite easy experience.
Loved the venuew that much, that we are open to consider to travel just there for another concert.

NEVER AGAIN.
After years of being a season ticket holder I AM DONE.
The new SAP/Sharks policy forbids ALL bags is complete BS. You have to bring in your own food or drink loose. Even clear bags & thin plastic shopping bags are forbidden.
I had to dump out my food and carry all of the items and bottles of water loose. All because a thin plastic shopping bag is not permitted inside.
SJ Sharks - you've gone too far this time. You just lost 2 season ticket holders who will not renew next season.

Coming from the UK in April to watch the Sharks, staying at Fisherman’s Wharfe in San Francisco, how easy is it to get an Uber after a game? Any other suggestions of how to get back after the game?

Uber is really easy if you have it downloaded on your phone. It doesn't take long to get a ride and the Sharks stadium is right off the freeway so the entrance and exit are pretty easy. You could also do a 1 day car rental. Not sure on what the cost comparison would be between Uber and a car rental though.

Is is worth it to buy a parking pass or is there other parking nearby. This will be our first time at a Sharks game. My husband has a handicapped placard.

We didn’t park at the SAP Centre so not sure the cost of parking there. If you’re husband has a disabled parking badge then maybe it would be worth contacting the SAP Centre - they must have allocated parking for disabled people.
Another option would be to drive a short distance along The Alameda where there was plenty of free on street parking. We stayed at the Arena Hotel on The Alameda and there was plenty of room on the street outside. From there it was no more than a 10 minute walk to the SAP Centre.

For a concert at SAP center in San Jose, would you recommend section 102 or 114? Seats are in row 1 either way. I assumed they were identical though on opposite sides but the cost of 102 seats is slightly higher. Anyone know why?

If I wear an opposing team’s jersey to a hockey game, is it safe? My hubby is a Sharks fan and wears his to Flames games all the time, however not sure if the same goes for down here with me wearing a Flames jersey. TIA!

Because of the shape of the Upper Bowl, leaning forward can literally block your view. However, simply sitting up straight in your seat (rather than angled forward) makes the experience of the people behind you that-much-better. In the Lower Bowl, the similar issue are people who will stand up (or walk down the stairs) during play. So, it's really a matter of what you may be more annoyed by... a simple "lesson" up-top (ie. sit up), or the people downstairs who ignore the announcements of "Please don't leave or return your seats until a stoppage in play" (literally, they announce this once or twice EVERY night).
