Our tasting guide was very knowledgeable and interesting, the patio ambiance and view were exceptional. We opted for the Library Wine Tasting instead of their current release tasting. One of their library wines was over the hill and our tasting guide did not replace it, a little disappointing. We will probably opt for the current release tasting on our next visit. The 2012 Lucienne was wonderful as was their 2018 vintage of the same wine. The experience was rated as excellent so I will take my next tour group back to this winery.

Although a bit more on the "commercial" end of the spectrum in the highlands, it was far from feeling like some of the mega wineries that we have been to and did have a homey feeling to it. The views from the deck were incredible and the wine was really good, we got some to shove back in our checked luggage it was so good! Our server was knowledgeable and helpful, although a bit busier it seemed and I did not mind the one by one tastings but there was some time between.

Other reviews had shown that the tasting area was a great view. It was a good view, but I think great is overrated, especially given the fact that getting there is difficult.

Hahn Estates Winery is located in Soledad, Ca, about 1 1/2 hours south of San Jose, Ca. It is a great place to break up a long drive to Southern CA for wine tasting, having a picnic, or just sitting on the patio taking the views over the valley. The wine tasting room is located up in the hills with great view. Welcoming staff for tasting and knowledgable about the area for visitors. You do not need reservations if your group is under 6 people. we took a picnic lunch and sat out on patio enjoying the view. There is some indoor seating if its cold or rainy outside. Whenever I am making the trip down Hwy 101 I do stop here.

Outstanding tour guides. Delectable wine. Learned so much about the wine process. The estate is big so seeing it on an ATV was perfect. Wine drinking pit stops along the way! Could have spent all day here. Wish I could have!

I have never never seen a shorter tasting pour in all my years of tasting. Even the places that have those devices that give you a precise small pour give you more. Pair that with missing the glass half the time and you gotta wonder what the heck. Definitely not a destination winery. If you're in the neighborhood, the site has great views and a nice picnic area though.

The wine and view make for an excellent tasting experience. The Pinot Noir and Cabernet were the best of a selection of very good or better wines offered in the tasting.

It’s been a while since we’ve visited Hahn and we were expecting more. Higher quality wines. The winery site is a great location for a picnic. They didn’t have many wines open so we couldn’t taste through their Pinots. Too bad because the ones we tasted were just ok. Too old. The staff was friendly though they were more interested in generating tasting fees even though one of us was in the industry. It’s a long drive up to the tasting room in SLH but worth the drive for the view and place to have a nice picnic.

Hahn, Smith&Hook label wines are among the finest in all of California. Alexandro in the tasting room is knowledgeable, and such fun. The award winning wines speak for themselves. Hahn has a remarkable Rose and the Malbec are without compare.

Had a Hahn 2015 Merlot with dinner at the Beach House at Lovers Point, so decided to stop in at tasting room. Malin, wad very friendly and informative, and made the long drive to the tasting room, a great experience.
All the Hahn wines were great and worth the drive!
