‪Too many people for the size of car park.‬

‪It really is potluck if you get a space in the car park, we tried 3 different times and never got one. We ended up parking in the road further down, as you pass the viewing point on your right, which is actually better as the view is not blocked by trees, whereas the viewing point is.
It is fantastic scenery when you get to see it, though, as is the drive up there.

‪Stunning view for sunset...and bears!‬

‪We saw a baby bear!!! We were in the parking lot to see the sunset and a little bear popped up over the rocks!

There IS parking at sunset. During the day, plan to pull over along the side of the road anywhere that you can find a place‬

‪Go early to get parking spot‬

‪Great views and easy parking if you go early enough. Second attempt we were successful. The road there is a little frightening in spots with drop offs, no guardrails and watching out for bicyclists however worth your time.‬

‪One of the best spots for scenic view of Lake Tahoe‬

‪Inspiration Point is one of the best spots for awesome views of Lake Tahoe and Fannette Island (in Emerald Bay of Lake Tahoe). Getting here from South Lake Tahoe takes cautious driving on the winding Route 89. When I went there one early morning in July, traffic was no problem and ample (free) parking was available at the vista point. I spent about 20 minutes walking around the beautifully built overlook to get superb views of Fannette Island and Lake Tahoe. A few placards at the overlook provide historical information about the interesting area. This is a spot not to be missed on the drive around Lake Tahoe.‬

‪Incredible Viewing Point‬

‪As you drive around this Caribbean of a Lake, this is a great spot to stop and take in the views. The blues and greens of the water and the mountains and trees are just spectacular. Inspiration Point might be difficult to park at, but if you wait, you'll get in. Wonderful side of the lake and great area for pictures and to explore a bit. ‬

‪It is a beautiful view to the Lake where you can see it s different colours. The Parking is not big, so you have to wait for a place to Park. The wind can be strong, so bring a coat.‬

‪Amazing views‬

‪Parking can be tricky and it was crowded but so worth it. One of the best viewpoints along the south Tahoe area. The island has such an interesting history.‬

‪Inspiration Point vista at emerald bay is one of the tourist attraction. Tourist can view the emerald bay and natural sceneries. Parking facilities are there.‬

‪Great views of Emerald Bay, but WAY too crowded.‬

‪So, this is a site where you can see Emerald Bay in all its glory, accompanied by interpretative signs. It is a must-do, BUT the lots nearby are often filled to capacity. So, my wife and I had to park far away and walk uphill to the vista. There is traffic coming in both directions and you are walking right near the road, quite dangerous! Once you get there, it is worth it, but be forewarned about the crowds.‬
