so first off i took my family out we stayed the weekend and it is a great place to camp rv hook ups easy accesses to stores food and they have night security officer patrolling made me feel really safe my kids had a amazing time

This is the 24th facility we have stayed out this outing. It is absolutely the lowest rated largely because of the trains. Lots of trains. We chose a back-in site along the water. Be advised that the online map of the campground is a mess. It doesn’t delineate the difference of the width of back-ins along the water nor does it even show that there are pull-thru’s! Using a white noise apparatus, the trains did not disrupt our sleep. A quick glance at my past reviews will attest that we strive to stay at the very highest rated available. So why Mohave Narrows? A family member lives near by. While the very immediate area is pretty nice, the overall Victor Valley has deteriorated considerably. The area is severely lacking in short term decent parks to stay at. This park is a fair drive off the freeway on an ever congested Bear Valley Road. Our site was great; probably the most aesthetically pleasing of our 2 month trek. In the future, we will probably use the facility overnight, but only on a weekday. Knowing the demographics of the area, the weekend has the potential to be . . . disturbing. I will say, that $40 a night, with a $7 reservation fee - arrived on a Monday at 3 without reservations to choose a site we wanted without reservations - is . . . high.

We came to see the water and the birds.
We didn't knew that there was an RV Park. I saw at the campground: A playground,fishing and showers and more.
However we were admiring the river and got beautiful pictures at sunset.
There were birds,all happy.
I was happy as well.
A must see!

I love going to this lake! My family and I have went here for years especially in the summer when they have the splash pad open. It's definitely worth 8 dollars to get in and there playground is huge.

There is plenty of room to run, seating and shade are in abundance. The two lakes make for some interesting wildlife viewing too. The play area has something of all ages and abilities, and the splash area is wonderful in the summer heat. The newly completed Mojave River Walk comes right into the Narrows and provides some nice flat trails for walking and biking.

The RV spaces are nearby to major freight railroad lines (which are in almost constant use) and those can be kind of noisy. Most of the spaces have sewer and water hookups. Hours of access are limited so call ahead to make sure you can get in while the guard house is open. There is a small lake nearby to the RV spaces and the rest of the developed areas of the park are for day use (picnic-ing and recreation). Most of the terrain is flat so would be okay for walking and casual biking but you do have to climb some hills to get to retail areas about a mile outside the park boundaries. There are some relatively wild areas which appear to have walking/jogging trails. The park has a rather remote feel to it despite being only a few blocks from large suburban housing tracts.

Pleasant peaceful atmosphere. Took my preteen daughter who had a blast. She caught the largest catfish 4.5 pounds. It is often less crowed durring week days. Great place to camp or day visit. They have grills rest rooms and a small bait shop. Very clean often the animald in the pasture. Enjoyable experience.

On the weekend it's $10/car, walk-ins are $3 each. They also charge for your dog!

Hoping that you are asking here in the High Desert if you say yes. For my is the Owl Canyon is a real place for camping and forget that you live in a civilized word. If you going there just make sure you have everything on hand ( tent, water, food, flashlight, wood, warm blankets if you going on the winter ) cause nothing really really close there. The I-15 is like 20 or 25 minutes from there, but walking,relaxing, hiking and see the beautiful sky at night is something that you will love. Just for camping lovers.
