‪The guys at Fairwinds gave us such a fun experience today. It was our daughter’s birthday and they helped us celebrate her with a beautiful, serene balloon ride. Helped that the weather was PERFECT!! Do it!!!‬

‪Took my granddaughter and her stuffie (Tuna) for a hot air balloon entire for my my granddaughters 5th birthday. The entire experience was fantastic! Jeff answered any and all questions, provided additional information on the ride, and included my granddaughter and Tuna in the conversations. We saw a lot of sights from Denver to Pikes Peak!
Highly recommend this company!

‪We arrived at the balloon station and we saw the balloon we were at first a bit iffy ,but then we got on the balloon. We got to see a view of the whole area first and then we went 8000 feet in the air we saw the airport ,down town Denver , Rocky Mountains and we saw so many cool sites in Colorado for Tourists I think it’s an awesome option.Our pilot Toby was really nice and he was funny. In the end our landing was a little rough. In the end after getting picked up in their van and back to the station zero learned about the history of ballooning and also got cool shirts and a nice goody bag at the end.
If you’re into piloting or any flying machines, I think this is a great option for you.

‪Fabulous experience ! I had the best time ever! The team was so nice, and so informative. They made us all laugh, and were very happy to share their expertise in the this type of "air flight". They were all very caring and professional. I had the "flight" of my life...amazing doesn't even begin to explain it. I highly recommend Fair Winds for everyone. It's a "gotta do this" and this company proved to be very kind, caring and professional in their business. ‬

‪Jeff and his crew are simply AMAZING. Watching the balloons inflate by the lake to begin the day followed by the bird’s eye view of Boulder county (and the flatirons!) is incredible. Everything and everyone was very kind and professional. They made our family feel like their family. I can’t recommend Fair Winds and this experience enough. If you’re thinking of booking, just do it. It will be an experience of a lifetime and a treasured memory forever. Thank you Jeff and crew!!‬

‪We absolutely loved our flight with Fair Winds! Jeff was an amazing pilot and addressed all of our concerns before the flight. We had great views and everything was so peaceful, it's hard to explain, you just have to try it! 10/10 recommend, we will be back! ‬

‪VERY BAD EXPERINCE: WANT TO SHAIR‬

‪AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE. After our first "flight" got canceled due to bad weather (Jeff called us maybe 40 minutes beforehand), we were super bummed, but we decided to schedule another, (who would have known that this would be one of the worst decisions we could have made). We arrived a couple of weeks later for our "makeup flight" and things seemed to be going well. But when we took off our "pilot" decided to take off in very, very strong wind which knocked another balloon OUT OF THE AIR which resulted in said customer breaking their leg (We have pictures and videos of the ambulance and police showing up and taking the lady away). After this occurred Fair Winds wanted to take no responsibility for it, even though it was neglectful and overall poor flying protocol on their end. My girlfriend obviously being scared to try a third time later called to try to figure out some type of return policy only to be verbally assaulted by Jeff (who was yelling and calling her names such as bitch over the phone). It was very unprofessional and overall, the only "good" thing I can say is that I'm happy we were not the balloon to get knocked out of the air. We are currently looking into legal pursuits and want to make people aware of this place and its suspicious activities.‬

Having the privilege of accommodating thousands of Guests each year and numerous Guests every day, The Safety, Comfort and Professional Communication for all our Guests has always been and will always be Paramount in all our Decisions. Everyone here at Fair Winds was very disappointed to read this review and feel a few points need to be clarified... #1 – Being that weather is such an integral part of our daily Flying decision process…and…Even with the advancements that have been made over the years in the weather reporting industry, Our established and published protocol is that Fair Winds will utilize all forms of communication, including telephone, text and Email to expedite information on our ever-changing weather conditions as to not inconvenience any of our Guests as much as possible… #2 – In our 30+ years serving our Guests…No Fair Winds Balloons were involved with…or Have Ever Been involved with…” knocked another balloon OUT OF THE AIR which resulted in said customer breaking their leg”… The picture that is being referenced was from an Event we participated in this summer…But…Again…No Fair Winds Balloons were involved and/or Have Ever Been involved with…” knocked another balloon OUT OF THE AIR which resulted in said customer breaking their leg” #3 – Our Reservation Policy has been and still is… Even though, We do ask for a credit card to hold the reservation, We do not run the credit card until after the Flight. Because that way if the weather does not cooperate or the Flight gets canceled for any reasons, we are not holding any of our Guest’s money….. Thusly, eliminating any refund questions...and…If we do not provide what our Guests were expecting… Our long-established Company Policy has been and still is 100% Guest Satisfaction or a Full Refund is Provided… #4 – Everyone at Fair Winds has been both coached and take pride in all our Interactions and Communication with not only our Guests, but also within the Team itself… The language mentioned above has never been used and/or will ever be tolerated… We encourage the writer of this review to contact us at 303-939-9323 or Please provide us a telephone number and a convenient time for us to contact you…and… We will be happy to address any and all of your concerns… We are also happy to post a follow up on this platform. Thank You for your possible interest in our Flights… Let’s see if we can answer some questions…and…maybe a few more… #1 - Our Launchsite location is in Boulder, Colorado…conveniently located approximately 30 – 45 minutes from both Denver and Estes Park….and…15 minutes from downtown Boulder…Our Flying Season is May through November when both the weather conditions and Rocky Mountain Views are at their Best… #2 - Right now, we are offering and you can take advantage of our "2018 Summer Special" at $209.00 per Adult Guest and $189.00 per Child Guest (12 years old and younger)...plus Gratuity...on a Weekday...and...$229.00 per Adult Guest and $209.00 per Child Guest (12 years old and younger)….plus Gratuity...on a Weekend - even if your Flight Date is after this “Special” expires…and we don't even require payment until the day of the actual Flight. We do ask for a credit card to hold the reservation, but do not run the credit card until after the Flight. Because that way if the weather does not cooperate, we are not holding your money….. I've heard complaints about some company's flights only going up and coming back down in the same place without travelling much of anywhere. Does this one actual take you out away from the launch site? Are you over pretty scenery (near mountains, lakes, etc) or just over city/houses?

Lets see if we can answer your questions... #1 - All Balloons as well as ours are propelled by the wind - Its all part of the Adventure - We have had Flights that have traveled only a few miles and we have Flights that have traveled 20 - 30 miles - Our average In-Flight time is 60 - 90 minutes and our Balloons travel an average distance of 10 - 12 miles... #2 - All the Balloon Ride Companies in Colorado as well as ours offer excellent views..We all have the privilege of the Rocky Mountains as our Backdrop with the changing seasons offering spectacular and ever-changing scenery....
